[attr="class","staffbod"]Metal and electric charges are in the air as the World Science and Technology fair brings science fiction to reality. But it's not all hopes, dreams, and investments this year, as a threat comes to the many white coats huddled at the Javits Center. At some point today, something of value will be swept from under their noses and it is up to the police to keep that from happening. If only they knew what they were protecting. The convention grounds are infused with a hidden police force and Vireximus volunteers as they carefully guard. Cameras are even in play so that nothing will slip from their sights. A rather well thought out job appropriately done to ensure the capture. However, with the disco duo wielding such great minds, easing up is not an option. A radio call finally came, informing all on duty of a suspicious hooded figure stalling at a booth. The nearest officers rush over, and without notice they unhooded the suspect to reveal a dainty young lass with a sassy blond fro and a delicate looking bow. "What's the matter," she asked as she turned to face the undercover officers. She looked and sounded too sweet to be a criminal, causing the officers to drop their guard. But once they did a whiplashing punch lunged out followed by two hefty kicks at the groin. Three of the officers dropped to their knees from the attack, setting the young lady's plan into motion. "Is the tempo to fast for you to dance to?" The young lady, otherwise known as the spin master Raggedy Rhymes, cackles to herself as she continues to pin down more fellow officers. The people around her then start to panic, causing a heavy frenzy down the aisles and congesting the whole room. There seemed little the officers could do to take her down and bullets were far too dangerous. It just might be possible that the only way to arrest this felonious fiend is through the super power fueled friends of Vireximus. But are they up to the task? There are two teams in this event, team a and team b. Team A members are tasked with taking down and arresting Raggedy Rhymes. Team B will do the same against Pro Psycho. After each turn, each team will get a random dice roll to determine their fate. Everyone involved has 4 days to post; after that, you will be skipped and the next round will start. Just a reminder: your posts don't have to be extremely long, in order to keep the thread moving. People are free to join in the event last minute. But no new people will be added after the end of the second round.Team A ELI MADDOX, @rolf, DREW GORGON, RILEY TUFF, TOBIAS ALEXANDER

With her arms crossed and her head tilted slightly to one side, Riley's bored gaze roved the various stalls set up at the World Science and Technology Fair. According to an anonymous tipster, there was going to be some sort of heist here. The police had come to Vireximus requesting help and Riley had, surprisingly, been assigned along with several others to one of the hotspots. As far as she was concerned, this meant that absolutely nothing was going to happen here. She wasn't stupid; she knew that the University wouldn't send her, a powerless student, into a possibly dangerous situation. Unless there was no danger. Which was why Riley stood around, overcome with boredom, wondering when they would finally call off the stakeout.
The sound of people panicking caught her attention and she turned to see what the fuss was about. "No way," Riley muttered, pushing past the fleeing people to get a better view. Spotting the young girl taking down multiple cops, she stared for a few moments before snickering. That girl couldn't have been much older than her if at all! And those police were seriously getting beat by her?
"Alright, weenies, calm down," Riley said, loudly and authoritatively to the fallen police. "Let Vireximus handle this." Rolling up the sleeves of her sweatshirt, Riley paused briefly and glanced around. Should she wait for the other members of her team? Shaking her head, she grinned. No. If they wanted a piece of this kid they were going to have to play catch up.
Still grinning and brimming with what was obviously overconfidence, Riley stepped up to the girl. "You say you like dancing, but can you follow these steps?" With a grunt, she aimed two swift punches at her!

It was so boring. Drew joined the surveillance team at the science fair mostly in order to spend some time out of the VU fields. Dealing with lessons and training left almost no time for himself, and when he had some he often spent it to come back home and visit his father a bit. The man, still in his early forties, was doing fine even without Drew helping him at home, and since he started his second year at the University things had calmed up a bit. His father went back on what he said and was trying to show his son affection and acceptance about his lifestyle. Although he was kind of touched by that, he hadn't dropped the angry façade yet.
The zone he was assigned to was eerily silent, the buzzing of a fly would have been heard from miles. There was this booth right in front of him with a giant poster telling everything about nuclear energy. Next to it there was a zone entirely dedicated to human anatomy. Tissues, organs, blood. It'd have felt A LOT more familiar than splitting atoms to elicit power. Then something broke that silence. Drew heard some noises and cocked an eyebrow, before paying more attention to get where it came from. The sound of a body falling to the ground woke him up, and he immediately started running towards that noise. The noises became louder as he was about to turn around at a corner when he abruptly stopped. He crawled to the edge of the corner booth to peek what was happening.
A girl with a blonde fro and shimmering blue eyes was reducing a bunch of police officers to a mass of crybabies, she had to be the enemy they were waiting for, but what was she about to steal? A high school nerd A+ project?. She saw her kicking the guards in weak spots of the body, and immediately got that melee fighting with her was his last option, so he opted for a ranged strategy. He took off a razor blade and lifted his left sleeve up to his elbow, before sticking one of its edge into his wrist. He bit his lip as he proceeded to extend the cut over his veins, before letting a stream of blood running free from the wound and levitate in mid air. "¾ of a liter should be enough."
The blood rapidly condensed in three bubbles, as big as bowling balls, the three of them in viscous state. Drew focused on his wrist, whose cut rapidly coagulated thanks to his power, stopping the stream at least for now. He kept the injury just coagulated in order to shed more blood later, if needed, and squeezed one of the blood spheres, which turned into a solid baseball bat. He then stepped around the corner and by waving his arm towards the blonde girl, he sent the viscous spheres after her. Being sticky and heavy, they would have been excellent to keep her at bay. Then he noticed a girl directing two fists at their supervillain from the opposite direction. «What... the bloody hell is she doing.»

Why not go after a bad guy? Just because Viola wasn't the most sparkly student didn't mean she agreed with the motives of thief out there. Besides, the glory of taking down the villain would be well worth the effort. And if they didn't take her down? Oh well. One more to cause chaos left out in public. Whatever happened, Viola wanted to be there; she was just itching to get off campus.
Whatever she had been ordered to do, Viola just ignored. She went and hid in a nice shadow she artificially darkened. No one would be able to find her in here. She just leaned against a wall in her floral blouse and jeans, waiting for something exciting to happen. She wasn't disappointed. When she heard a fight break out down the way, the shadow reverted to its normal state as people rushed by. Perfect.
Viola focused her attention on the shadows between the rows of booths, expanding them, darkening them. It added to the havoc, causing fair-goers to trip and tumble into each other. Viola grinned as she sauntered past them, happily shrouded in the darkness. It took a lot of concentration, but she was able to keep it up with her slow gait.
After a minute, she had gotten close to the fight. The figures became obscured from others the closer Viola got, the shadows creeping toward them. It's not a place most people would want to stay.

Erik had been instructed to avoid interfering too much in this fight. Not only did the students need the real life experience, but, considering that he had not publicly announced that he was merely an actor rather than a true villain, he was also a potential liability. It was true that he was a talented fighter, even without the use of his powers, but he had built up his reputation so well that he could cause mass hysteria just by announcing that he was present. That was a problem. Regardless, someone had to make sure the students didn't get themselves killed. Especially the hemokineticist using his own blood, the overenthusiastic powerless girl, and one of his art students who didn't seem to be able to tell friend from foe. Well. At least he had his work cut out for him.
Despite the spreading shadows and the shades he was using to conceal his eyes, Viola's movements were perfectly clear to him. He experienced reality very differently from others and, although he only rarely saw what was real, it did have its benefits from time to time. Walking up behind the red haired student, while monitoring the happenings of the fight occurring in front of them, of course), Erik quietly, though sternly muttered to her "Watch who you're tripping up there." His chilly tone made it clear that backing off of the civilians wasn't a mere request.
ooc: if there's any super strange/unusual/relevant fears your characters have you can PM them to me or mention it in your next post |D and if you don't want me blatantly posting exactly what it is, that's fine too; I just need to know how Erik sees them (for example, someone with a fear of disappearing: Erik can't perceive them at all. Stuff like that is important for RPing purposes, y'know :'D)

Tsubaki was walking among the crowd, but one thing that would catch someone off guard would be how distant and glazed the young woman’s eyes were. And she has every right for this; she was using her power to focus in on the people around her, what they were thinking. But all of this was too easy, they were too easy; surely the villain would have a harder barrier around their mind and once she would hit, they would focus on finding the person intruding and in this case, it was Tsubaki. But within her ‘daydream’ chaos brewed around and when someone bumped into her.
Tsubaki blinked a few times before looking into the face of scared civilian who jerked their head away and moved on. She opened her mouth before closing it into a tight line. This was it, the big show, she thought as she dodged around people to get the scene which was starting to become clear. Police on the ground, groaning, a girl fixing to take on the hooded person in hand-to-hand, a boy already using his own powers, along with a girl who had darkness following behind her. First off, this was near, next, scaring the civilians, not so much. But the shadow that followed behind the redhead, Viola was her name if Tsubaki remembered correctly, begins to engulf the situation. Tsubaki’s eyes widened, she needed to focus on the group before closing in on one target.
OOC: Sorry, jumping in here if I can .__.

Wondering about, Eli is surprised to learn that he's having a rather good time at the scientific expo. He was expecting a lot more trouble and a whole lot of danger and wondered every little moment why (and how) he even managed to get into the position of volunteering with the school the stop the bad guys. Sure he'll take lots of opportunities to get himself out of his stuffy old dorm, to go actually participate as a training hero? Eli never even wanted to be a hero and still doesn't to this day. All the kid really wants is a chance to learn to use his powers to then never use them. Simple as that.
But in the end, he's here, and enjoying himself to some pamphlets on the a purifying scheme on proteins and enzymes. Happy to be in a rather uneventful stakeout, his hands reach out for another brochure on solar panels, wondering the marvels of it. His hand grasps the paper while a raging scream breaks out behind him. His head quickly turns, noticing a crowd of people rushing about.
"Not again."
Eli lets out a soft sigh as he starts to wade through the people bumping him shoulder to shoulder. With his mind wandering, he head think how ironic it is that the boy who once tried to run with the crowds and nearly was kidnapped by a strange behemoth now walks his way to the danger. Unknowingly as the boy slowly makes it through he tumbles into Tsubaki's as she tried to reconcentrate. As he takes a step back and regains footing he quickly realizes the person before him. His hands pull up, shaking midair while looking apologetic.
"Oh I'm sorry..uh.....Tsubaki!"

[attr="class","staffbod"]Seeing the crowds of people run the opposite direction of her brought great joy to the petite woman as she tacked down yet another officer. Grinning with glee as her kicks made impact against the bodies of other, that is until she herself felt the embrace of a fist to her own face. She was too high in her fight to have even noticed the girl punching. It was a perfect strike too, both hitting Raggedy Rhymes flawlessly. Something a prideful villain like herself will never admin. Quickly as she shakes out of her disorientating strikes, she starts to bleed from a cut on her cheek. soon after before she can react, a dark shadowy object loom towards her. With hard thud and a light sploosh, a solidified ball of blood aiming straight for Rhymes, slam into her shoulder. The slamming ball springs a sharp pain down her arm and back while splatter a very small amount of residue that escaped from the impact. Small trickles of blood stain her cloths while the remainder of the solidified liquid drop hard to the ground. The other ball missed by nearly an inch from Riley, sparing the girl from the same fate which Raggedy Rhymes felt. The petite woman then starts to growl to herself in the shocking agony as she looks over to Riley with eyes filled with rage. "Dream on! You ain't getting off easy from that psyche trick!" She shouted while lunging a leg forward to make a quick snap kick, pushing Riley back. With Riley now falling behind, the woman quickly hops up on of the booth tables, escaping the slowly creeping shadows. Raggedy Rhymes then takes a moment to rub off the strange blood that splattered on her person. Cleaning it off, her body starts to boil over with a need to act out a revenge. Looking about she sees a young man with a blood bat, quickly runs towards him and knowing that it was him. "How about trying to jab these moves?" With a quick leap, Rhymes jumps high over the boy's head, flipping mid air. Her arms extend out to Drew's shoulders as her legs kick high above. She then hauls herself over Drew and push over with her arms. As she swings behind, she jerks at his shoulders, trying to pull him down with her. The dice rolls are on a standard 1-6 die. The Raggedy Rhymes team rolled a 5! (For future reference: a roll of 1 means your team is in grave danger (this is not death enabled, however.) A roll of 6 means that your team will not be touched much. A roll of 3-4 means your team will be set back, but not in as much danger.)Team A RILEY TUFF, DREW GORGON, VIOLA SOLOVYOV, ERIK BLACKWOOD, TSUBAKI HAWTHORN, ELI MADDOX

Riley pulled back after her successful punches, grinning with satisfaction as she noticed the blood dripping down the small woman's cheek. Another few good blows like those two should finish her off. This was easy! Why did people need superpowers for this? And here was her chance to strike, while the woman was still reeling from her previous attack! "What's the matter?" She sneered, clenching her fist in preparation for another jab, "Can't keep up with--"
The first dark blob struck the woman in the shoulder, and the second only narrowly missed Riley herself. Riley staggered back in surprise, looking around for the source of the viscous spheres. Spotting the boy with the bloodbat, she barked at him, "Hey! Watch where you're chucking those, will you? You nearly hit me!" She turned her attention back to the woman just in time to see her leg lunge toward her. Riley didn't even have time to brace for the impact as the kick struck her, sending her skidding back and to the ground.
Winded, she clutched at her stomach where the woman had struck her before grimacing and pushing herself back to her feet. "Suck it up, Riley!" She muttered to herself, giving the situation a quick glance-over. The criminal woman was after the boy with the bloodbat now. The only other people she recognized from the school were, in her opinion, not doing much. A shadow was moving through the crowd, which she could only assume was another student, though she couldn't make out any of their features. One of the professors was around, too, along with some bumbling girl, and... was that Eli? As far as she was concerned, none of them would be of much help in apprehending the villain; though at least the boy with the bloodbat seemed to know what he was doing... sort of.
Riley roughly shoved her way through the crowd towards where the woman was now attempting to take down bloodbat boy. Ignoring the boy, she stopped before where the woman landed and aimed a quick jab at her foe!

Bingo. One of his blood balls hit the target right on the shoulder. Drew hoped it hurt enough to weaken her ability in close fighting. She was utterly dangerous when it came to hit a human body hard, the policemen conditions were proof of that. Coagulating the blood inside his veins was out of question: it'd have made her strength useless but using it for more than a handful of seconds would have stopped his heart. Permanently. The brave(or fool?) girl that went full force on their afro blondie missed the second blood bullet by an inch. She turned around and spotted the albino and his bat. Being this made of blood, it didn't take much time to link the two things, and she started shouting at him a lot of clichè answers like "you almost hit me", "you could have killed me", "who'd have distinguished my blood from yours then", lalala. «If I had almost missed you, it probably means you should've gotten outta my way.»
The enemy took this small timeout as an advantage and kicked the girl, before heading towards him. He clenched his teeth and tightened the grip on the bat: he'd have catched the blood he left around with the spheres later. Recycling is the way. The blonde was surely acrobatic. She jumped and got over him, before jerking at his shoulder. This action caught him by surprise and even if he put a small amount of resistance he fell to the ground. As soon as he was back against floor he ignored the pain with all his might and raised his cut arm, wrist against the enemy, staring at her. «Two can dance this waltz.» The coagulated cut opened with an ominous sound, and another stream of blood emerged, this time thin and sharp, like a spear: a two feet long sword made of hardened blood cells.
Hope that this works.

There were more important things going on than a touchy professor commenting on Viola's technique. You'll excuse her if she has her priorities more in order than a man who was paid to be a fake villain. "Got a problem, Teach, fix it yourself." She considered making his appearance more visible to the lessening crowds, but she was already concentrating on the shadows enough. If she wanted to keep moving, she couldn't reveal him while darkening everything else. So instead, Viola gracefully climbed to the top of a covered booth. Up here, she was able to see much more and direct the shadows with more precision. Though the entire fight area was now blackened a good deal, Viola did focus on that perky little villain of theirs. The surrounding dark should trip the woman up more than anyone else. That is, if the idiot schoolchildren were coordinated in the least.

"I will," Erik curtly replied to his bullheaded student, "So don't make yourself one of my problems."
Erik hadn't been in many situations like this after leaving his first job, and he realized that he found himself unintentionally allowing Spooky's demeanor to slip into his normal personality. He didn't have multiple personalities, but he had linked his character so closely with superpowered tussles that slipping into character for the sake of familiarity seemed quite tempting right now. But he had a respectable job now and, despite the seeming impossibility of the task, had been trying to repair his reputation to something manageable. Acting like that now would just erase all the progress, albeit a small amount, which he had already earned.
"You could always try something less indiscriminate," he added, almost as an afterthought, as she tossed up a potato battery from one of the science projects to Vivi. He wasn't going to babysit her, though. Making sure the others didn't get fatally injured was more important than analyzing a single student's every decision.
"Tsubaki," he began, walking over to the talented young ESP student, "I need you to focus, alright? Your job is going to be figuring out what she's doing here and warning the others if she's thinking of doing something unexpected." She was the defense of the frontline fighters; she had to be able to tell them what was going to happen before it did.

This event was going so fast for her, the young girl that was in front of their villain was giving a normal one-two! And then the other with the blood and stuff, just mesmerized the young ESP. Yet just as her eyes landed on the one person she needed to focus on, someone bumped into her. Tsubaki felt her heart race as her head flicker over to who bumped into her, scared to see who was coming up to her. She then chuckled seeing Eli. “Hey it’s ok!” She said, waving a dismissive hand in front of her before looking back out. “Just need to refocuse, that’s all!”
But once more she looked back to who was talking to her, this time it was Professor Blackwood. Tsubaki pressed her lips together and gave a nod. Her eyes focused on Raggedy Rhymes, her dark eyes narrowed and her mind reached out to touch, if one could describe it like that, to see what she could pulled. Tsubaki balled her fists up, taking in a deep breath.
