Welcome to Vireximus greek life's Autumn Bash! There's plenty to do here at the Omicron Omega house: games, drinks, socializing, mischief, and fun! The main room is decorated in warm fall colors and a pumpkin or two, and is positively packed with people, especially near the drinks table. Many of the frat members have been drinking since before the party officially started, and I would be careful about the drinks because it can get harder to tell what's been put in them the longer the night goes on. In addition to the snacks and beverages laid out like a buffet there, maid uniform-clad pledges also circle the ground floor serving similar finger foods. Despite the large size of the house, there isn't much space inside if you don't arrive early. Of course, it shouldn't be too hard to find a more private space upstairs if that's what you're looking for. There isn't much of a front lawn, but there's plenty of room out back, even with the pool. Music blares wherever you are, and the crowd doesn't help quiet the noise any. Play some games, have a drink, tease a pledge, enjoy yourselves! The party will keep going until late in the night--event ends August 10 UPDATE: Event extended. Keep posting guys, we've got a party to get going! This was too much. It was going to kill her. While Ainsley wouldn't have minded attending some big party, the whole 'pledges need to dress up in a french maid get-up' was really getting to her. For all of that outrageous confidence she could show in her opinions and combat skills, the same thing couldn't be said about her body. And she wasn't exactly used to short dresses and heels. There was nothing convenient or sensible about either of the sort for someone so quick to jump to arms. Regardless, they'd still managed to coax Ainsley into dropping her unusual jeans, t-shirt, and thin zip-up hoodie for that maid outfit nonetheless. It'd all be in good fun, they said. It didn't feel like all that much fun, tugging the hem of her dress down uncomfortably every few minutes, as though it would somehow fix everything, a tray of appetizers balanced precariously in her other hand. It felt like it was going to be a terribly long night.
At the absolute least, she'd gotten dark pantyhose and long gloves to hide the worst of the scarring from her ability- and those fun little cuts and marks from the various fights she'd been in over the years- and she hadn't been required to wear huge heels. While being almost somewhat normal height would have been nice, there was no way in hell she would have been able to walk in those things. Especially not late into the night while trying to crush herself between party-goers.
With the night still early- and the drinks still supposedly safe- Ainsley would make her way to the refreshment table and pour herself a Pepsi, nervously taking a sip. What was the worst anyone would do? Yell at her for wanting something to drink? It wasn't like the pledges weren't supposed to enjoy themselves too. And she'd still pass out food. Yeah. She just needed something non-alcoholic before things like that became too scarce. If she planned on making it through the night without tripping on people and dropping her tray, she'd need to keep herself from becoming buzzed.
...Why was she so nervous? Ainsley Dawson didn't get nervous. She didn't quiver in fear from people or confrontation. Crowds didn't scare her. Chatter was right up her alley. Just that need to impress the others in her frat was killing her. And probably if she'd been in some normal clothes and attending the party rather than serving it, it'd be better. She wasn't made for this whole impressing people thing. God, was she out of her element. |

Carter spent about three hours trying to drag his roommate to this party with him. He had heard about it from some kid in his biology class... or was it his english class? Who cared it was one of those classes that seemed kind of stupid but everyone had to take them because this was still a college and they had to have 'standards' and 'educational significance'. Silly hero college trying to be an educational institute.
Of course he walked in like a normal person. He tried to save teleporting for emergencies... like running late or being scared. That last one was more involuntary though but that was besides the point. The building for the party was not terribly small living wise at least but if this was jam packed with people it would be super crowded super fast and he knew it. At least he had gotten here early instead of waiting to see if his roommate was for sure coming though he hoped so because otherwise he'd have nobody he knew here for sure. Sure some people he vaguely knew said they were going but otherwise nadda.
He came in a short sleeved red shirt with a blue pocket that had the captain america shield on it. It was probably the fanciest top he owned seeing as he wasn't one for going out to fancy restaurants or stuff like that. He had some plain light colored shorts that were fairly tight to his legs and black checkered slip ons. He had planned on bringing a light sweatshirt in case he had gotten cold but he figured he could always teleport home if he got to cold and grab one. Plus he didn't want to lose one of his few hoodies in the party. If it was as packed as he thought it might get he might not need one with the body heat and all.
"Hello," he said softly as he got a soda from the refreshments. Hopefully they weren't spiked this early in the party as he was quite a lightweight. One sip told him that it probably wasn't. He was probably going to nurse this for the rest of the night just to be safe. He wasn't really one for drinking besides it being technically illegal for him. Hopefully he could meet some cool people here or something cool would happen. Something cool but not dangerous. NOT DANGEROUS! Oh well at least he could get a small giggle out when watching the pledges in their weird outfits. He figured it was something they were forced to do. One reason he didn't join any fraternities. That and he was super awkward. notes ?! Yay party. words ?! A NUMBER? tags ?! PARTY PEOPLE credit ?! REAL SLIM SHADY !? @ Caution 2.0

For Q it was about looking good, feelin’ better, and reppin’ his frat. Naturally, he hadn’t ‘arrived’ as he was already present with the other members of his fraternity, and was already doin’ his thang as the party was in full swing. A few hours passed, and fueled by umpteen cans of Redbull [as he did not do alcohol], he was a dancin’ fool, cutting it up as he let the inner party animal out for the night.
So far, he danced with about four girls, gave out ten high-fives, winked-n-gunned three peeps, and was currently the centerpoint of a crowd that circled him to see him bust a move or two. Dipping into his NYC roots, he wowed the crowd with his seamless moves, popping is collar like it was 1999 as the crowd chanted in unison ‘Go, Q! Go, Q! It’s ya birthday! It’s ya birthday!’ Suffice to say, the speedster didn’t disappoint, and when he struck an NFL pose the crowd roared and applauded as he took a small bow and headed for the bar. After all that, what he needed was a cold, can of Redbull.
On his way to the bar, he notices a girl dressed in cute little maids outfit, handing out drinks. Yow! Like…just…YOW! The French maid thing was kinda sexy to him. So, naturally he makes his way to her, puts on his best impression of an ebony James Bond and stops just before her so she can get a full three seconds to take it all in before he started. ”Yo… didn’t know the frat hired a maid?” He teased, as he smiled at her, hoping she could take a joke. ”Why the costume? You’re a pledge?”
The music blared as he chatted it up with her.

NOTES It's awfully short, sorry. I'm exhausted but didn't want to hold things up. | THEY SAY HERE COMES A HURRICANE, TROUBLE IS HER MIDDLE NAME.
Another anxious sip of her drink would be taken as Ainsley kept close to the table. Sure, her outfit was noticeable, but serving refreshments and being right at the table made her easy enough to ignore. Being short helped in that regard too. It didn't take much of a crowd to block her from sight from the most part.
A light 'hello' would be given to no one in particular it would seem, from a green-haired guy, and a smile would be sent in his direction, and a lively "Hey!" A conversation would hopefully help her shake off the awkwardness, at the very least. And if it wasn't terrible, with any luck it'd also help pass some time. And who didn't like new friends? Just because she could have quite a large temper, didn't mean she wanted to push people away. It just tended to go hand in hand with her aggressively large personality.
A 'yo' would catch the girl's attention, and she'd turn, expecting someone to be wanting something off of her tray. Reading his body language and processing his words, it'd hit her that he wanted nothing of the sort. "All the pledges are dressed up like thi- ... Yeah." Another drink would be taken of her pop as she stood there awkwardly, tray still balanced in her other hand. |

Riley had always harbored a strong dislike for fraternities and sororities. So what if most of her knowledge of them was from movies and TV? All she knew was that hazing was real and it was incredibly stupid. So why, why had she come here to the Omicron Omega house to celebrate the greek life Autumn Bash? Stepping up to the buffet line, Riley grinned as she remembered. Right-- free food and drinks. And-- she glanced at one girl by the drink table, dressed in a maid outfit, out of the corner of her eye-- damn, some of the pledges did look nice in those outfits.
She hung by the drinks table, grabbing a red cup and glancing at the questionable liquid inside. She took a sip-- it was beer. Good. If she was going to stay at this party she wanted to get as much out of it as possible, and that included getting completely smashed. She leaned against the table as she sipped her beer, pretending to watch some frat boy dance. She barely noticed as the green-haired boy called a greeting to no one in particular; she was far too busy stealing glances at the girl in the maid outfit.
Riley was startled to see the dancing boy approach the pledge, though she quickly raised her cup to hide her interest in the scene. Taking another gulp of the beer, she nearly choked on it as she snorted at his dumb joke. Alright, clearly it was time for her to step in. Setting down her drink, Riley approached the pair, her hands in the pocket of her sweatshirt.
"Shove off, Sandpaper," she said to him, removing her hands from her pocket to wave dismissively as one might to an errant dog, "let someone who's actually smooth handle this." She turned her attention to the girl, grinning smugly, revealing the gap in her front teeth. "Don't feel too bad about wearing that," Riley said with a slight shrug, "they could've made pledges parade around in something far more revealing. And cute as you are in that maid outfit, I bet you'd look pretty damn good without it, too."
Nailed it.

Walk into the club like 'oh no my anxiety might make people float off the ground'. Danial didn't like parties--to much noise, too many people, and too little familiarity. Even with that, his roommate had coerced him to stop studying long enough to come. Danial had promised the kid. He supposed it would be too rude not to show up at this point. The party hadn't been going too long, but there were already plenty of people here, which did make Danial extremely uncomfortable. He stood near the door, looking about for Carter, hoping the boy would find him and alleviate at least some of the stress. He didn't see him, and the music was already starting to give Danial a headache. Danial was such an easy target, he just hoped no one decided to pick on him. Viola had been here since before the party started. Though she wasn't part of Omicron Omega, she had represented Psi Kappa Phi in the planning committee for this party. That meant most in a frat would know who she is. It would be hard to tell for sure if anyone else here was in ΨKΦ, though, since secrecy was something that fraternity valued. Either way, Viola had spent two years here already trying to build up a reputation to be feared. If you weren't solidly in her good graces, it would be a good idea to run away. If you didn't... Well, I would check your drink twice.
The girl sauntered through the main room, socializing with some frat boys as she went. She already had a couple drinks in her, but held a cup of hard liquor. She would drink slowly, trying to last through the night. If she didn't, then no harm done. Viola liked to party, and the more drugs involved, the more exciting it was likely to be.

Despite what most people normally assumed, Zephyr Fear was not in a frat. He didn't hate them, and had even entertained the idea of joining on more than one occasion. Hazing wasn't even an issue -- Want him to parade around in a butler outfit? Done. Want to change that to a skimpy maid outfit? Done. The real issue was commitment. Zeph didn't like the idea of trading his freedom to drop uninteresting people from his life like a sack of potatoes in exchange for "brotherhood". But frat parties with free food and grog that anyone could attend? That was something he could get behind. When he walked in to the chaos of the party which had already begun, Zeph turned up the music volume a few notches. It wasn't even a good song, but picking out something better would take a little more time. "Daaamn, it's like a can of fuckin' sardines in here. You're gonna' need t' use some force t' get anywhere," he shouted over the music to the two following him. Tonight he had dragged along a couple of guys who, to be perfectly honest, he would pay to see get wasted. Plus, those dorks needed to get out there and socialize more. Before waiting to see if they had even heard him, he started shoving his way to the drinks. ooc: lookin' at you EURUS FEAR & ELI MADDOX 8)

Eurus didn't mind fraternities or sororities. Really, he didn't. At least, he didn't mind them as long as they were far, far away from him. Though the idea of sharing a strong connection with the fellow members of a frat appealed to him, the idea of hazing was absolutely terrifying, and definitely not something he was willing to risk.
Despite his fear of them, his brother Zephyr had absolutely insisted he come along to the frat party, and Eurus was not very good at saying no to his twin. And so he shuffled into the Omicron Omega house uncertainly, trailing after Zeph and casting nervous glances just about everywhere. When Zeph turned up the music, he covered his ears and grimaced. He could already tell this was going to be a difficult night.
Eurus reluctantly followed his brother to the drinks, staring dubiously at the dark liquid in the cups as he removed his hands from his ears. "Zeph, there's no way I'm drinking that," he said, though it would have been hard to hear him over the pounding of the bass and the general hum of activity. Instead of taking a cup, he turned his attention to the rest of partygoers.
Some of them weren't real, he was sure of it. His blasted powers must be manifesting again; it tended to happen more often in places with large concentrations of people, and a party certainly counted as that. Upon spotting a nearby pledge in a maid outfit he immediately looked away, face growing pink. He purposefully inched away from her, towards a green-haired boy with a Captain America shirt on. There was no way that guy was from last century, right? Captain America was too recent.
"Hi," he said loudly over the music, sounding entirely unsure of himself. "What's... er, are you enjoying the party?" Eurus forced a smile as he wondered if he was talking to thin air or not.

He had spent maybe about ten minutes here and hadn't seen anyone he recognized. Well at least none he would talk to on a regular or even semi regular basis. Maybe in those giant lecture halls there was a fellow student here but he wouldn't know them. Carter lightly moved on the soles of his feet back and forth in nervousness. He was never good at starting conversations. He often lost the ability to speak or if he did it was something completely stupid. Perpetual foot in mouth disease was his self diagnosis. He was certain that wasn't a real thing but he was sticking to it.
Another male with blonde hair came over to talk to him. His savior from awkward aloneness. The male looked over and smiled at the first person to talk to him specifically at the party. Maybe he'd make a new friend or two yet at this weird little frat party. He certainly wasn't going to join this weird fraternity. He didn't exactly fit the frat life style after all.
"It's loud but pretty fun I guess," Carter said loud enough to hear. The music wasn't deafening but it certainly was loud enough that his normal talking voice wasn't going to work. He wasn't a loud talker to begin with after all. Carter stood there awkwardly for a few seconds before extending his hand to the blond. "Oh. I'm Carter," he said with a big grin on his face, pretty much ignoring his soda at this point.
There was some weird hitting on people and all that going on near him but he tried to ignore it for the most part. He didn't really plan on getting any dates from anyone here. This was only his first year after all. He'd save all that other stuff for second semester... or maybe second year even? Right now it was comic books and soda and school. No booze or boys. notes ?!
