SO IN REGARDS TO FIGHT CLUB, Zeph isn't really sure what he thinks about her as the advisor yet. First of all, he's super wary about her b/c of the fire thing, and secondly he gets the distinct impression that she's going to kill his fun with rules and safety precautions. Gross. That said, I'm pretty sure he's going to just assume that what she doesn't know won't hurt her and go behind her back to plan certain events without telling her (after all, asking for forgiveness is a lot easier than asking permission). Reeeelatedly, I'm thinking we can start a tournament sort of thing up? One-on-one battles where the winner moves up the bracket. 

So maybe their relationship doesn't get off to the greatest start AND IT COULD POSSIBLY JUST GET WORSE since Zeph is not going to respond to her emotional disconnectedness towards mortal people well. He'd rather deal with just about any emotion from others other than apathy as long as it's powerful, so his default course of action is to annoy other people A LOT. I get the sense that these two might lock horns on a regular basis, but there's also the remote chance that they might (someday, somehow) start to grow on each other and gain a bit of respect. IDK, MAN, idk, most of what happens depends on how willing Echo is to put up with Zeph's shit (or not).

omfg Zeph is just going to be like "OI, DRAGON LADY, I DID NOT MAKE THIS CLUB TO CREATE AN ARMY FOR WORLD DOMINATION. CALM YOUR BLOODY TITS." and relatedly, idk what Echo's opinions are on cursing people out but this is Zeph's default way of communicating /NERVOUS LAUGH. So yes, second rule of fight club as deemed by Zeph: don't listen to the dragon lady, she doesn't know what she's doing. This club is going to be such an adventure :'D

Also if you're looking for a rat to tell Echo when the club times are, I 100% recommend Eli. NO OFFENSE INTENDED DOLLAR. OBVIOUSLY. WE ALL KNOW I THINK ELI'S FANTASTIC <3

And don't think you can wait out Zeph's life. He plans to immortalize his consciousness in a machine when he's older. So they can be at each other's throats for centuries 8)))

FIGHT CLUB EXTENDS A FORMAL INVITATION FOR JOSHUA TO BE THEIR CO-ADVISOR. Except it probably wasn't very formal because Zeph sent it, oops. ZEPH ALSO DOESN'T APPROVE OF JOSHUA'S CHILLNESS. CHILLNESS IS UNACCEPTABLEEEE. So yes, yes, Zeph will definitely be digging in to Joshua's past and asking annoying questions about it and interrupting his class with the call of "MEDIC" whenever someone gets hurt and snatching his phone number (and periodically unblocking himself) so he can send obnoxious floods of texts. ZEPH IS IMMUNE TO HIS HOSTILITY, tbqh the hate just fuels his delinquency.

Also Zeph is just really accident prone. All the time. Even when he's not even fighting anyone. So he'll probably see Joshua in person for assorted injuries AT LEAST weekly.

GLOVE BUDDIES YES YES YES )o) They can suffer together when wearing long sleeves and pants on hot days. AND ON A RELATED TOPIC I think they should meet when Asher passes out from heat exhaustion b/c on top of refusing to wear temperature-appropriate clothing, he also owns nothing but dark colors. Soooo that means that Joshua might try to heal him b/c he's unconscious and can't really protest so either 1) the moment asher regains consciousness he starts reenacting a moment from when Joshua was being tortured and then apologizes profusely immediately afterwards oooor 2) he starts acting like that person Joshua anti-healed almost to death when he escaped and then passes out again. So yes, either way, A+ first impressions.

BUT I WAS THINKING and I decided that out of all the current professors, I think Joshua is probably the most chill. And he actively avoids touching people, which is a major plus. Aaaand Asher was kind of abandoned by his parents so a part of him is searching for that type of father figure in his life. Asher's kind of weird in that he's VERY emotionally driven. Like, if after their first or second meeting he notices that Joshua doesn't like being touched either, he might just wander over to Joshua's office one day if he's having unusually high anxiety over being touched. But then once he arrives, he'll realize that he really has NO excuse to be there whatsoever and just shuffle away in embarrassment. BUT it'd be pretty cool if over time Asher could begin to trust Joshua as a safe person and his office (or classroom. wherever it is he lurks) as a safe place where he's welcome to just draw or do homework or maybe talk if something's really bugging him.

BUT IDK Joshua might think that's weird (b/c tbqh it is a little weird), SO IT'S OK IF THAT IDEA GETS SHOT DOWN.

Hahahaaaa I need to stop making charas who can't touch people. Tho Erik isn't quite as closed off as Asher, and even wears short sleeved shirts most of the time. Aaaanyway. The only way he would have been brought to Joshua is if he could have been trusted to not talk about it to aaaanyone. Although I feel like he had more injuries in his earlier years in the business, as he became more infamous, there would have been more dangerous heroes and vigilantes who wished him harm, so there would have been a higher possibility of truly life-threatening injuries. SO IN SHORT YES they can know each other from before becoming professors ouod Maybe they could be polite but cynical almost-but-not-really friends together since they wouldn't be able to keep in contact after Erik got treated. Much hiding, very secret, wow.

FLASH FORWARD TO PROFESSOR-ING and Joshua's suddenly one of the only people Erik has met before who doesn't hate his guts. So, yes, naturally he's going to prefer socializing with him than with others (even though I imagine Joshua's fear is really loud, so Erik may not be able to hear him all the time, even if the room's completely silent in reality).
