Many years ago, superhumans were viewed as monsters. Unacceptable to society, they were shunned and treated poorly by the regular human masses. All of that changed, however, in the 1940s. The view of heroes changed and the Golden Era was born. Heroes became celebrities, and corporations bought into the fad and created Brand Superhero. All roses have thorns, however, and the era of superheros came to an end in 2008. Beloved hero Eric Evers, aka Wonderman, was found dead in Times Square. The culprit? One of his friends and fellow heroes. No one trusted heroes anymore, and tensions became high. With the downfall of heroes, the superhero university, Vireximus, was under a watchful and scrutinizing eye. All the students and professors at the university can do now is wait and find their place in the new world of Broken Superheroes.
