NINETEEN 5'07"/130 lbs | MALE STUDENT - JUNIOR |
[attr="class","appinfo"]
[attr="class","appbold"]PERSONALITY:
- First things first, if you call him Nicolas instead of Nico, he will punch you. Or kick you. Or physically harm you in some way. This leads into the fact that he's a violent young man and isn't afraid to resort to it if he needs to. Hell, he'll resort to it even if he doesn't need to. He's got the mouth of a sailor and the brain of a genius, but like hell he'll ever let anyone know that. After all, you have to keep your trump cards to yourself, right? On that note, if you ask about him, he's probably not going to tell you much of anything. It's not that he's fond of keeping secrets—in reality he hates them—it's just that he doesn't see the point of it. His life is his business, thank you very much.
Despite literally every perception of him ever, he's actually quite humble and isn't good at taking compliments. If you compliment him, he'll get flustered and start cursing up a storm, although there wont be any actual...heat behind it. He's lazy and doesn't really do anything that's more work than needed, especially when it comes to school. He's surprisingly kind, though, and will often help anyone in need—whether it be with school work or with other things. He'll probably complain and call you names as he helps you, but it's mostly because you made him actually do something.
He has a fondness for strays—person and animal alike—and isn't hesitant to smuggle them into his dorm room for however long he needs to. Also, don't tell anyone, but he has a weakness for historical romance novels (and books in general) and is kinda sorta addicted to dating sims. Tell anyone, and he'll bury you six feet underground. He also has a bad habit of forgetting to eat, which he's had since a child, and is the reason why he's a bit underweight. It's mostly breakfast and dinner, since he's usually sleeping through those times. Recently, he's started to set notifications on his phone to remind him.
He's a bitter person when it comes to being in Vireximus, as he never wanted to be a superhero. Because of this, he can be very rude towards those who are happy/excited/optimistic about being here, including the teachers, and will often scoff or roll his eyes or be a general asshole to them.

- Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Nico is a long way from home. And he hates every second of it. He never wanted to be a superhero—not even when he was a child. Instead, he dreamed of becoming an editor at a publishing company, but that came crashing down with the death of Wonderman. You see, the Yadi family is very rich and own a string of companies across the west coast called "Yadi & U" who specialize in the making of superhero costumes. After the death of Wonderman, when confusion and doubt rang across the world, Yadi & U was under pressure about making their decision on where they would stand. Would they continue making the clothes superheroes wore? Or would they shift into something else?
Their answer was simple.
They enrolled their only son into Vireximus, even though he had no useful power to speak of. Of course, this did not go over well with Nico, but his parents wouldn't change their minds about it and threatened to cut him off completely if he did not finish his education at the university. Pissed, but not yet ready to cut himself off from his parents, Nico reluctantly agreed to go. It was during his first year at Vireximus that he discovered his powers—to his parents' great delight and his own anger.

[attr="class","appbold"]POWERS:
- PRIMARY POWER: Nico is an illusionist and, as a result, he can create and manipulate illusions. His illusions are all very realistic, but they can't cause any permanent, physical damage. For example, if he were to create the illusion of a ring of fire surrounding someone, they'd feel the heat from the fire and hear it crackling and smell it burning, but if they touched it they would feel no pain and wouldn't get burnt. The more complex he makes an illusion, the more energy it takes and the more concentration he has to use for it.
His strength in illusions lies in things that aren't living—like making fire or snow or rain, etc—and making it seem like there's nothing there, when there actually is. He's learning to make illusions of living creatures, but so far he's only been able to make an illusory copy of himself (which is easy to tell that it's an illusion) and an illusory...goldfish (or, well, small fish and/or bugs).
SECONDARY POWER: He has an eidetic memory (also known as an enhanced memory) and has had it for as long as he can remember (which says something, really). With a single glance, he can memorize large amounts of information in greater detail than most humans and it takes much less effort to recall said information. If he tries to memorize too much, though, he'll start suffering from headaches, which range from small to big depending on the amount of info he memorized. It's safe to say that he's probably suffered from severe headaches his entire life, what with his love for reading.
