Elle let out a simple sigh, her eyes slowly starting to drift away from opened book. Her pencil made a slight clink, as it dropped from her hand and landed on the table. She rested her chin on her now empty hand, letting out another sigh. Today just wasn't her day she thought, thinking back to her failed exam, her incorrect answer to the pop quiz, and her slip up with her powers today. Even now, her math homework just didn't add up, and the wrong answers plagued her paper. Nothing at all was right.
Yet the little bit of sunlight that seeped through the window held her attention. A bird fluttered by, barely in her vision range, and her mind started to drift. Her mind started to wander away, no longer bound by the math homework. What would it be like to fly, she thought to herself. Sprout wing, learn to levitate, the means of flying didn't matter, just the feeling of wind through your hair, lifting higher and higher. Elle wasn't lifting though, and as her mind flew, her body started to shrink, phasing into a deep black shadow. Soon enough, Elle's body had taken shape of her chair, and now all she could see the the ceiling and a foot that had just stepped on her face.
"Man, if only I could fly." she said to herself as she snapped out of the shadow, her body materializing where she had just sat. She glared at the kid who just stepped on her face and huffed another sigh. Guess she wasn't flying today.

It was just another day for the shadow attuned male. He walked around with his ever present hat and his coat, to which his hands were jammed in to its pockets. Heiko didn't really have any direction to be walking to at this particular moment. Sure, the dorms were in that direction but that wasn't his goal at the moment. In fact nothing was really. He was just walking to walk, which was a nice thing to do now and again. However, Heiko had a thing when he walked. He liked to be consciously aware of what was going on around him. Now consciously aware typically fell in to two categories. The first one was stuff he mentally commented on, which was typically odd things he would see around campus, or anything related to what he and Zeph had intercepted through their infiltration of the computers network. The second was anything that really didn't fit the above category that just got filled in to the back of his brain. Only one real exception existed and that was when someone was showing off/displaying their powers that Heiko had not seen before which would be what brought his attention to a brown haired girl.
What the girl was up to initially wasn't of any concern to Heiko, but when he brought his eyes back over to where she was in as he scanned she was gone. This triggered the curiosity within his brain. As far as Heiko knew not many students at the university didn't have the ability to vanish from sight. So either she was faster than all hell or was able to fade from sigh like he could do, Heiko wouldn't consider that particular skill very refined and practical at this point. Heiko would have his answer when the brown haired girl snapped back in to view with shadows breaking the mold that made her fade from view. The young man was shocked to see another person able to manipulate shadows, as far as he understood there were not many other than him self, and if their were any others he didn't know of them.
Promptly adjusting his path at this news, Heiko approached the girl from her back right side. Stepping from out side her view in to it Heiko reached up and took off his had with his right hand. "Sorry to bother you if you're up to something but, if you don't mind me asking how did you do that?" Heiko was quite curious as to how the girl did what she just did.

"Sorry to bother you . . ."
Elle glanced up, now noticing the boy who had stepped into her sight. With his hat in his hand, all she could think was that he had a friendly face. She smiled lightly, pushing a strand of her hair behind her ears. She folded her book and shook her head no. Elle would always rather talk to someone over study for math. "Not a bother at all, I'm just studying for a stupid math test."
"As for what I did." she started, a hint of laughter, "sometimes I don't even know how I do it." With that statement she shrugged. Some times it requires a lot of effort from her, and other times she just gets lost in her mind and becomes a shadow. "I was staring out the window and poof." she started clapping her hands when she said poof, "I've became a shadow, and people are stepping on my head." Elle shrugged, still smiling light.
"But I'm Elle, take a seat" she motioned to the empty seats besides her. Never hurts to make a new friend.

"Not a bother at all, I'm just studying for a stupid math test." It was good that the girl wasn't to particular butt hurt about Hieko's interruption, which was nice. Thankfully for Heiko he wouldn't have to coax the girl to explain her the power she just used as she started talked it was clear that she was, at the very least, moderately comfortable with her power. "As for what I did." She said with a small accompanying laugh before continuing, "sometimes I don't even know how I do it." That was understandable. Hell, that was why most of the students were here in the first place. To learn how to harness and channel their gift, with the intent on using it for good. The brown hair suspected shadow manipulator shrugged. "I was staring out the window and poof." The sound of her hands clapping together added more color to her side of the story. "I've became a shadow, and people are stepping on my head."Shadow, that was exactly the word Heiko was looking for. So it turned out that there was another shadow manipulator that attended the school. While Heiko could of easily access the schools network, along with Zeph, and figure out any and all students that shared the same power as him. Frankly Heiko preferred not to do that. He had no reason to.
"But I'm Elle, take a seat" Her hand gestured towards the empty seats that were unoccupied.
"Heiko." The boy added with a smile and a nod as he put his hand on the back of a chair pulling it out. "Or Elias if that is easier." He didn't have the intention of insulting the girls ability to pronounce his name correctly, but some people just preferred using a name they could pronounce. "Still, sorry for interrupting your studies. Just rare to find another person who can manipulate shadows." Heiko apologized putting his rear end to the set and scooting in some. "Kinda nice to know I'm not the only one around here."
