The univerity’s Parkour club was rather small in numbers compared to many of the other clubs that operated within the school. Yet, perhaps that suited it best. As the few members that it did possess were a tight-knit bunch. Most of the time. Having taken the subway into Queens, Hadley now stood close in proximity to the Flushing Meadows Carousel. It was where she and Silas Copeland had agreed to meet, what with them both being free from any classes for the day. It wasn’t a date. Even if Hadley had found Silas attractive – which she didn’t – he possessed an attitude that could become both cold and hostile in a second. Hadley doubted that she’d see him with a girlfriend anytime soon. Or a boyfriend, if he swung that way. Honestly, Hadley couldn’t say for certain. No, it was strictly business, in a sense. Silas was their club’s president and Hadley … well, she was fairly certain that she was one of the weakest in athletic ability amongst their group. That wasn’t to say that she wasn’t fast, or flexible or possessed very little physical strength. She just had trouble grasping some of the physical techniques that they practiced, or keeping up with other members. So, noticing her struggles, Silas had offered to help her practice. For once, Hadley was without her beloved sketchbook, and her aged backpack was nowhere to be seen either. White running-shoes, featuring pale blue patterns, were worn on her feet, and she had also dressed herself in tight-fitting black shorts and a pale blue singlet, her long blonde hair was styled back into a tight French braid, twisted around and knotted against the back of her head, so as to stay out of her face. Folded carefully inside of her pocket was a sheet of paper featuring a drawn image of a simple backpack, dimensional storage for Hadley’s water-bottle and keys. Blue eyes casually observed her surroundings whilst she began to do simple stretches with her arms and legs. Certain that Silas would turn up soon. He could be a jerk when he wanted to be, but he was still a reliable sort of person. @kat2 |
