► | HADLEY MONROE A sophomore with the ability to give temporary life to whatever she draws, Hadley’s profile is here. A member of the university’s parkour club and vice-president of the art club, Hadley insists that her backstory is kind of cliché. The only “gifted” member of her small dysfunctional family, she spent all her life in the same backwater Louisiana town until she scored herself a scholarship and immediately left to improve on her powers in New York City. But Hadley’s a liar. Oh sure, the part where she grew up in Louisiana and applied for a scholarship was true, but Hadley has no family. Not anymore. Born to the incarcerated criminally insane Inkheart, and the dead former super-villain, the Huntsman, Hadley’s training to get her revenge against her father’s murderers. But that’s a secret she isn’t willing to share with anyone.Hadley’s always cautious about letting anyone get close to her, but she’s friendly enough to have a few close friends. People who she genuinely cares about and will have their back through the good and the bad times. For though Hadley is often guarded, she’s still a nineteen-year-old girl who enjoys having people who she can pull pranks & causing mischief with, laugh until she cries over stupid things, and who also likes watching really bad tv shows. But it’s hard to make friends when it’s obvious that you have secrets that you refuse to share. Hadley’s also probably going to earn enemies from deliberately unleashing insults once her temper flares up, which isn’t that difficult to do with this blonde. Hadley isn’t apologetic about how she gravitates towards those with questionable pasts, and finds it difficult to get along with people who insist on seeing things as only black and white. Hadley isn’t the type to let bygones be bygones, finding it difficult to forgive others easily, or to walk away from a confrontation. As for romance, Hadley is single, though given that she lies easily and refuses to give any real insight about her past or family, this isn’t really surprising. She’d been in a serious relationship back in her hometown, but ended things following her father’s death. Being a romantic at heart, Hadley gets lonely for companionship quite easily and doesn’t mind flirting with any cute guy who pays her attention, but at this point of her life she’s afraid of commitment. This doesn’t mean that starting a relationship with her would be impossible, it would just require a lot of effort and reassurance. Suggest casually hooking-up with Hadley and she would be deeply offended – her Daddy raised her to have more self-respect than that. | |
► | NAME MCNAME It seems today that all you see is violence in movies and sex on tv, but where are those good old-fashioned values on which we used to rely? Lucky there's a family guy, lucky there's a man who positively can do all the things that make us laugh and cry - he's our family guy! Here's how it is: Earth got used up, so we terraformed a whole new galaxy of Earths, some rich and flush with the new technologies, some not so much. Central Planets, them was formed the Alliance, waged war to bring everyone under their rule; a few idiots tried to fight it, among them myself. I'm Malcolm Reynolds, captain of Serenity. Got a good crew: fighters, pilot, mechanic. We even picked up a preacher, and a bona fide companion. There's a doctor, too, took his genius sister out of some Alliance camp, so they're keeping a low profile. You got a job, we can do it, don't much care what it is. |
