((Please avoid being code heavy or using post templates with me as it make it really hard for me to read on my phone. Thank you.))
Looking down at his packet of papers, the boy with the tanned skin sighs from living through orientation at yet another new school. His thin callused fingers gently cradle the pages while flipping through with the help of his thumbs. Glazing through each page, he desperately seeks for his dorm's which slipped from his memory.
He shouldn't be having such a frustrating time familiarizing himself to a new campus, especially with his recent history of transfers for the past half year. But he'a constantly left with a feeling of discomfort after the strange mishaps in his later high school life.
As the boy continues to flip through the pages slowly, his eyes catches the title dormitory in the many documents. He pauses to pull the page out onto the front of the packet to better read through where it is he needs to go. Through the many words on the general form rules and regulation he finally finds the information he needs. "Eli Maddox: Evens Hall - meet at the building's students life and residence office for dorm policy and room key"
He lifts his head up to look through the area for any direction towards Even's Hall only to see a bustling amount of other people looking for their way around.
"Hmmm."
Bending down, Eli reaches for the blue duffle bag set to his side and slips his papers in one of the outer pockets. He has all day to figure out where to go and move in so he might as well start now. He grabs the long strap to his bag and pulls it over his shoulder. The fabric of the strap scratch against the exposed skin as Eli adjusts to the added weight pulling him down. With his now small figure, anyone would think he could collapse any moment from hauling his bag around.

A new fresh day at Vireximus and Hadley had a morning lecture in the College of Manipulation. The tall blonde wasn't a hundred percent certain on what the lecture was about. Focus and power control, if she had to guess. Though bright and clever, education had always been a rocky road for Hadley Monroe, it was probably a small miracle that she had graduated from her small Louisiana high-school and was still making acceptable grades now that she was studying at university. She blamed her forever waning attention-span. That had apparently been a problem for her Mama and Daddy too. Artistic souls, all three of them.
There was plenty of time before her class started, but Hadley preferred being one of the first to arrive. It meant that she could claim her favourite seat - positioned towards the back, where she'd be just out of the range of the centre of attention within the room and could get away with zoning out or drawing idly across her notebook if her professor glanced her way. Her old and fading backpack holstered over her left shoulder, her much-used sketching-book carried under her left arm and a tall Styrofoam cup of Dirty Chai Latte in her right hand, Hadley left Sanford Hall and braved the thick and heavy crowd of students making their way around central campus, where all three student dorm halls were located.
Despite now being a sophomore, this part of her daily routine never got any easier for Hadley.
Doing her best not to get caught up or held up within the masses, Hadley dodged and weaved herself between and around various forms. For a moment, she really did believe that she would make it unscathed. And then her left shoulder was heavily knocked, sending her latte tumbling from her hand. There was nothing that she could do but watch it meet the ground, the lid knocking off from impact, and its hot aroma contents spilling everywhere. "Shoot ..." Hadley looked mournfully down at the mess.
Noticing that a nearby guy, blue duffle-bag in hand, only just missed having the hot beverage end up all over his shoes, big blue eyes looked his way and Hadley immediately flashed him an apologetic, and rather mortified, smile. "Oh Gawd, sorry about that," she said. "This place is impossible at this time of the mornin'."

Eli's just about ready to start his escapade through the campus ground. Not being the most directional person, he'll probably swivel in and out of other parts of campus and forgetting again what his goal is. But just before he starts on his little walk to "nowhere" his shoulder is bumped by another, distracting him long enough to escape from a disastrous mess.
Hearing a girl moan and the sound of a splash, Eli look at the ground ahead, seeing the muddy drink spilt on the floor. He wouldn't have cared much it the drink fell anywhere on him in the first place but it was nice to have been spared the annoyance of having to clean himself up and change into a set of new cloths wrapped up in the bottom of his bag.
"Uh."
The boy stares for a moment as he thinks how it would have sucked to have soiled his cloths, but as soon as the a taller woman approaches, begging for an apology. He looks at her attractive figure and thinks how his friends would go crazy over her and try to act either flirtatious or coy.
"You did nothing wrong, it happens to the best of us."
The boy tugs at his bag to pull the strap closer to his neck as he struggle to find balance. It annoyed him a bit having so much trouble with the bag when he used to be able to lift it with ease. He's not sure when he'll be comfortable to carry such weight again, though it would be nice to not feel out of out of breath from it. With his shoulder holding the bag leaning up, he starts to take a few steps forward and stomping on the drink. However, before passing the attractive stranger, Eli takes a moment to look up as if he's got a question to ask.
"Oh, uh..."
His mind runs in a circle as he debates with himself if he should ask where Evers Hall is. He knows well enough that he'll have a tough time finding it let alone remember his destination. It's also a bit of an embarrassment to have to constantly ask over and over again where he's heading. His mind then comes to a stop as his embarrassment weight more on him than anything else, agreeing that it would be a "waste" of time to ask.
"Mmm..nevermind"
Shaking his head he starts to lean forward to move on, again struggling from his bag dragging him down.

Plump glossed lips smiled. "Oh, I don't know about that. But, thank you. For bein' sweet about this." Her right hand now free, Hadley ran her fingers restlessly through her unbound pale blonde hair, her mortification now dropping to a level of mild embarrassment. "I guess next time I'll just try and avoid the mornin' rush all together. Less chance of bein' pushed and shoved if I use my powers. Which I guess is the whole point of this place, to ... better use our ..." Aware that she had fallen into rambling, Hadley, red-tinged cheeked as her level of embarrassment took to rising once more, trailed off. "... Powers."
It would be nice to say that Hadley's social skills were a good deal better than what she was displaying. But, to be honest, even on one of her better days, she'd probably still come across as the quirky artsy country-girl out of place in the big city world. Good thing that Hadley was adept at rolling with the punches. Both physically and verbally.
At the uncertainty in his voice, Hadley's blue-eyed gaze returned to him from where she had dropped her gaze, silently awaiting his question. In their silence, Hadley took notice of how his duffel-bag seemed to be weighing him down, and of how obvious the discomfort was that he couldn't quite hide from his expression. Narrow pale brows arched themselves, encouraging an answer. And Hadley couldn't help but to frown at his dismissal, turning her head so as her gaze could follow him as he took his leave.
There was a moment where Hadley was willing to accept his decision. After all, she had a class to get to - which she would now have to suffer through without the aid of caffeine. But she did almost end up making his morning worse, whether or not the entirety of the blame could be left with her didn't really matter. Giving him a few minutes of her time was the least that she could do, right?
"Hey," She quickened her steps so as to catch up with him, before stepping in front of his path. "Don't give me that crap," Hadley said with a scowl, though her tone of voice remained friendly enough. Adjusting the strap of her backpack, she said, "You clearly had a question, so ask it."
