- Hadley inherited her powers, as both of her parents were also super-powered. However, they weren’t compelled to use their abilities for the good of others, rather the opposite. They were super-villains. Which poses the question as to why Hadley chose to attend Vireximus University. Her mother left Hadley’s life fairly early on in her childhood. Her attempt to dominate the state of California by imprisoning its citizens in a painted prison were thwarted and she was given a two life-time sentence within an asylum for the criminally insane. Her days forever spent locked in a white room, throwing sass at anyone who chose to speak to her, all the while requesting paper and pens. His wife’s imprisonment greatly affected Hadley’s father, and he made the decision to abandon a life of crime, for Hadley’s sake. He moved them to Louisiana, and for a time life was good. Until some old friends of his crawled out of the woodwork, wanting Hadley’s dad to use his enhanced ability to locate others to help find a superhero that they had beef with. He refused. They offered him money. He refused again. Unfortunately, they didn’t take rejection well and Hadley’s father suddenly went missing for nearly a month. The local police found him face-down in a bayou, almost unrecognizeable. Hadley was seventeen.
Nobody seemed to care that her father had been murdered. Not even her own mother, who, at Hadley’s news, stared at her with a regretful expression, before asking if Hadley had a pen on her person. But Hadley cared. Enough that she juggled as many jobs as she could get for several stressful months before buying a one-way plane ticket to New York City. Since then she’s been attending Vireximus University, keeping her background a secret and getting herself stronger. Her mind is fixated on hunting down the dogs who took away her daddy, and putting them to sleep.

[attr="class","appbold"]POWERS:
- ARTISTIC ANIMATION: Hadley shares the same abilities as her mother, her main power being what her mother liked to call “Artistic Animation.” Which basically is that Hadley can give temporary life to whatever she draws. From a young age, she displayed an artistic ability, which her mother helped to nurture during the short amount of time that she was in her daughter’s life, as such Hadley’s creations are not that of an amateur artist, and it can be quite difficult to tell her animated art apart from actual living things. Her power is quite versatile, as she can use it to draw and animate beasts, weapons, monsters, plants, buildings and even people. However, what she draws does not possess the ability to process or possess thought, obeying whatever intent Hadley had upon pressing pen or pencil to paper. Once it has achieved its singular task, it will dissolve into a puddle of wet ink, or crumbled paper, depending on how it was drawn. Neither are her creations all that durable, breaking down into shredded paper and ink if met by excessive force, or if in contact with flame or water, though they can still inflict pain and injury if that is the intent that Hadley had in mind when drawing. And, like her mother, Hadley’s power only works if she creates with paper and either pencil or pen, which is why she always carries a sketchbook and a small collection of pencils and pens with her at all times. Take away her equipment, and Hadley wouldn’t be able to use her powers.
- DIMENSIONAL STORAGE: A variation of her Artistic Animation power, Hadley is capable of drawing a fold of space, which she can use for storage. By drawing a detailed scenery or a specific object (like a box, or a chest, etc), Hadley is capable of placing and safely storing objects from her reality within her drawing. But of course, there are rules for how this power can work. One being that whilst she can store just about anything, including a person or even herself, she is only capable of storing two objects at a time, and the greater or more complex the object, the more draining the process of forcing the object into storage is on Hadley. To the point where it is quite easy to drain herself to the point of unconsciousness if she isn’t careful. Another rule is that in order to retrieve something, she must trade it with another item, meaning that her creation must always be holding two objects, no more and no less.Unfortunately, her artistic storage is quite vulnerable. Destroying the paper that it is drawn upon will effectively destroy the space that is being used for storage, unfortunately anything being held will also be destroyed. Hadley often uses this ability to store one or two of her belongings, rather than using it as an actual prison, as had been her mother’s chosen method.
