I think that I'm the worst, so I act like I'm the best Sylvia didn't know what she was doing in this break room, honestly she probably was just bored and wandering again. Sitting down, she yawned. Man, she didn't feel like going home. Honestly she was probably here to meet new people and see if she could get anyone to go out to a club with her or something. Kinda sucks when work is the only place where you can find friends. Well, at least she seemed to be doing well with making friends with all her staff. Crossing her legs under her short skirt she opened up a script and started reading. No one was here, but surly someone would show up. She had to read this script anyway, a student had recommended it and she promised to go ahead and let them preform a scene from it. So she needed to get a better feel for it. Flipping through the pages she couldn't help but have a distaste for the whole concept, it lacked.. romance. Something that Sylvia considered a key element in any good story. Twirling her blond hair with a finger she couldn't help but keep glancing at the door in hopes someone would come in. @phantom

One unnecessarily long and tiresome lecture was in the books.
For the love of-how much more of this could the redhead possibly endure? Physically speaking, he could go on all day and all night if he wanted to. But would he really? Hell no. Not even if it were truly possible, much less permitted to do such a thing. Mentally speaking on the other hand, well, let's just say that's a story for another time. But no matter which way you interpret this, it went without saying that this professor's day was only just beginning. If only his brain cells were functioning as well as his body was.
Maybe he shouldn't have skipped breakfast this morning.
The man had ample free time before his next scheduled lecture. What to do in the meantime, the young metal-bender pondered. One thing was for sure though, and it was that he needed to do something. He could always put himself down for a quick snooze before his next batch of hooligans scholars would come in, but where would be the fun in that? Yeah, exactly. Nowhere. For as long as he could remember, Myles Jay Crawford was always one to follow his instincts, regardless of any viable repercussions. His stomach now beginning to rumble, he began to regret ever skipping breakfast just to get to his first class of the day on time.
Silly guy. Ever so active, never stopping for much of anything.
Before long, the redhead ultimately decided to snag up a quick lunch which had merely consisted of soup in a cup. Maybe that would hold him over until much later past his afternoon stint. En route to the break room all the while whistling random tunes from who-knows-what-they-were-or-where-they're-from, the twenty-seven-year-old Elements instructor pried open the break room, only to find that someone else was here. That someone being in the form of a most positively appealing woman. Oh joy! This could be a chance to make some kind of impression, he would imagine, time and time again. Poor Myles, always one to somehow make his presence felt.
Clearly disoriented at the thought of being within the vicinity of someone such as she, the man would set his unprepared cup of soup to the side and break the silence between them. Come to think of it, Myles was somewhat distraught at the fact that he hadn't seen anyone like her around this particular division before. Was she even an instructor herself? If so, probably from one of the other sub-divisions. Either way, this was good for him - perhaps a way to kill time indeed. "Well this is most certainly a surprise." There he goes. "Good day to you!" the redheaded professor projected.
With any luck, he may be right. Perhaps this would be a good day indeed. CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

I think that I'm the worst, so I act like I'm the best When someones presences came in, Sylvia's eyes instantly went from the paper to the door in excitement. She smiled, happy that someone was there, and then her smile turned into a more.. flirtatious.. version as soon as she saw that the man was attractive. Flipping her hair back, she leaned back in her chair a bit. " Ah, hello there." She commented, looking him over again. " Are you here for a break?" She commented, switching her legs over to the other, still having them crossed. She had each and every one of her movements planned all the sudden, almost as if she was playing a role. Well maybe it was more that she had a motivation now and wanted to obtain it. With her luck it'd be another married or taken guy, as most of the teachers here seemed to be. She bit her lip a little, wondering for a moment on what she should say. " Ah, I'm Sylvia Jackson, the theater professor." she commented, looking at his hand for a ring.. didn't seem like it smirking. " And who might you be, handsome?" she teased, hoping to get a negative or positive reaction. @phantom

By the Gods, this woman was quite a looker. Needless to say, Myles has absolutely no idea how to describe this lass. It was almost as if some ingenious artist had drawn her out on a easel and somehow magically brought her to life. The mere sight of her was simply too good to be true. Did this guy manage to bump his head and somehow knock out on the floor somewhere? For but a moment, he had the feeling that was all a sudden dream. Either that, or someone was a mind trick of some sort. Questioning this speculation, he held his hands behind his back and delivered a forceful pinch. If he were truly asleep, that'd be enough to wake up.
Nope. He wasn't dreaming. Not in the slightest. There was really a ravishing woman sitting here before him on this day. Indeed a sight to behold. In any case, you could say for sure that this man's mind was clearly blown. Which begs the question: who was she exactly? If she was here, then had to be someone who worked here at the university. Nodding in response to the beauty's inquiry, Myles proceeded to seat himself at a chair beside this apparent angel sent from the heavens above. "I am. I've got quite a bit of time to burn before I head out to give my next lecture. Fun fun fun." It damn sure was a blast. Or at least to him it was.
Theater professor, huh? So she does work here after all. If that is indeed the case, then why didn't he notice her before? Mentally kicking himself for that screw-up, Myles extended a hand (in which it did not have anything of significance on it) towards the blond babe. "Professor Myles Jay Crawford, at your service. I'm an instructor at this fine institute of the elements. Charmed to meet you, Ms. Jackson. And to what do I owe the pleasure of being in the presence of such a dazzling lass such as yourself?"
This really had to be the redhead's lucky day. CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

I think that I'm the worst, so I act like I'm the best Sylvia was pleased when he sat down taking his hand and shaking it, pleased to not see a ring on it. " Ah, it's a pleasure Myles, and Sylvia is fine." She commented, giggling at his complement. " Ah, little old me? I'm flattered you think I'm dazzling." To be honest, Sylvia was used to such complements, but it was almost insulting to the person if she didn't respond. And, hey, she couldn't lie, she loved the complements. " Oh, I'm just doing some reading, since I work in the theater I don't get a real break room so I tend to go to the other schools'.. I hope it's alright that I am here." She commented, sure that Myles was more then happy to have her there. Running her fingers through her hair for a moment she thought a bit before commenting. " Though, I have to admit, I'm going out to some bars tonight, and all of my friends are busy so maybe I was subconsciously looking for someone to go with me...~" She hinted smiling at him again, hoping that maybe Myles might want to do that. Sure, they just met but Sylvia wasn't ever one to take things slow, and if he didn't, hey! It was worth a shot. @phantom

Was there any reason for this wonderfully blessed woman to be flattered by his subtle praise? Probably, but whatever the reason wouldn't matter all that much to this redhead. In fact, if anyone here should be flattered at all, it should definitely be Myles. It was bad enough that many would even bother to associate themselves with him, mostly because of his, uhh, tendencies. Still, that wouldn't stop the man from making desperate attempts to put himself on the radar. Speaking of which, this woman was the only bleeping on his radar right now, given the fact that there was no one else around at the moment anyhow. In any case, there was no doubt that the young metal-bender's eyes had become fixated on the blond as she spoke. He couldn't quite put his finger what was so emphatically enticing about her, but he felt that he could listen to her all day and not get bored.
With a stern smirk on his mug, he replied "You need not worry, Miss Ja-I mean Sylvia. I, for one, most certainly do not mind you being here at all! As a matter of fact, we - or I at least - would very much enjoy you dropping by every now and then." To say that dear Myles had shown legitimate interest would be a complete understatement. He continued to mentally cuss himself out for not having the opportunity to meet this woman any sooner. The redhead was now receiving a new vibe from darling Sylvia, and all he could do raise a brow, his smirk gradually growing wider. Still, he could comprehend what it was about her that allowed to maintain at least decent interest in this endearing new acquaintance, but the man could only he can keep it going - at least until it was time for him to be off to his next scheduled class.
Now there was absolutely way in freaking hell that a goddess such as Sylvia could be all by her damn self for a night out. Knowing Myles, he would great go lengths to ensure that satisfaction of others. You could say he would more often than not be acting on sudden impulses in that regard, but really he didn't seem to care in the least. If there was anything that his upbringing has taught him, it was what subtle hints such as the ones this beauty had meant. If she was looking for company, she would damn sure get it from one Myles Jay Crawford. The two professors had only just met, but already, Mister Crawford felt the need to go the ends of this godforsaken Earth for this woman. Again, the mysterious vibes were in effect. Sure, he would take her up on this apparent offer. If nothing else, he'd probably be wasting the rest of the day away grading papers.
That was never any fun at all.
"I see. Well in that case, if no one else, then I would be more than happy to accompany you this evening!" Myles answered, nodding as a means to assure her that she'd have nothing to worry about in regards to lacking a sort of 'hang out buddy'. A night out with a fellow professor whom he had only just met? Seriously? Yeah, for real. Seemed legit. "You can simply name the time and place, and I'm there." In his feeble mind, the silly boy was already anticipating a damn good night, and yet we're a quite a ways away from dusk. CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS
