- Strangely enough, Lily is his real name; even stranger, he likes it, but he may shoot you for saying anything about it. For the sake of simplicity, when he bothers to talk to people, he goes by El or Ellison. Adopted by an average American farming family when he was six years old, Lily is of Native American origin, but his appearance and some not-quite-authentic tribal tattoos he got when he was eighteen are all that speaks to that part of his heritage. He spent his childhood through his adolescence on a range in Arizona, working hard and keeping mostly to himself. From sleeping in the yard to running cattle drives, Lily preferred to spend most of his time outside and/or participating in outdoor activities. With the advent of his sixteenth birthday, the year his adopted father gave him his first rifle, the percentage of time he spent outdoors dramatically increased. When he wasn’t working the farm, shooting, riding, eating, or sleeping, Lily was watching the sky. It wasn’t hard to tell that Lily had a special connection with the weather. He had always been able to predict a storm long before there was a cloud in the sky, and even the slightest alteration in the air could catch his attention.
Not until he was eighteen, however, did his powers become truly apparent. He had just started work at a small bar in town to rustle up some extra money on the side during slow times on the farm, sometimes cleaning, sometimes bartending, sometimes bouncing. During an altercation with a particularly drunk and ornery customer (though it wouldn’t take much more than a normal person talking to Lily for the same result), Lily’s patience wore thin enough that his power seeped through—and by seeped, it’s safe to assume we mean tore through the barriers set up to contain it, along with most of the town. Broken glass, torn up boards, and a notice of immediate dismissal, it looked, and rightly so, like a small tornado had torn through the little bar, and Lily slunk home in a worse mood than he’d ever been in. From that point on, his problems only got worse. Cold and miserable weather followed him wherever he went and dustdevils tore out of control around his feet. His family, at last, could take no more, and sent him off to New York to a special university they had heard of for “special children like you”. Three years later, he is no more acclimated to his city surroundings and only marginally more adept at controlling his powers.

[attr="class","appbold"]POWERS:
- PRIMARY POWER: Well the boy ain’t too good at it yet, but Lily has the ability to manipulate the weather. He does so primarily through the alteration of water molecules in the atmosphere, a process that allows him to create, manipulate, and alter the density of clouds and storms. This furthermore allows him to induce rain, but only in a semi-localized fashion, and within the normal limits of the weather. That is, a cloud that covers a full city block must rain over that entire city block (and cannot be made to rain on a single person), and the size of the cloud will determine how much rain it can hold. His power also permits him to change the temperature of the air by increasing the speed and/or density of the water molecules to affect temperature and humidity.
Combined with his secondary power, Lily is capable of creating and controlling many different types of weather patterns and formations. Though, that may be a stretch. He’s not quite capable yet, and his lack of patience makes it difficult for him to learn the control he needs. At the moment, he is only able to play with clouds and their shape, perhaps rarely (and briefly) make it rain. The temperature of the air around him fluctuates haphazardly based on his emotions and level of concentration, and is hardly reliable. He is furthermore incapable of eliciting or controlling natural disasters, or really anything bigger than a small storm (as far as limits of control goes) or a low-level tornado (regarding creation). At best, should he become fully capable, Lily would be able to create and maintain any form of weather that naturally exists, but he must do so within nature’s limits and by nature’s means; the larger and more chaotic a weather pattern, such as an F5 tornado, the more difficult and taxing it will be to control. Hurricanes, for their complex mode of creation and large range, will almost never be within his capabilities; the best he might do is try to contain the damage from naturally occurring disasters, never create them himself. His control over water molecules does not extend any farther than weather manipulation, and to that extent only as far as the laws of nature allow. He cannot create supercharged storms, and in order to create any sort of storm or weather, he must create it the way nature itself would create it (i.e. if he wants a tornado, hot air must rise over a pocket of low-density cold air, the mixing of which will cause a spiraling vacuum whose air currents he can thereafter alter the velocity). - SECONDARY POWER: An offshoot of his ability to manipulate the weather, Lily has power over the air—and this to a greater extent than weather manipulation due to its more simple nature. Known as aeromancy, Lily can create and manipulate currents of air around his body, including their size, velocity, direction, and density. He is also able to alter the air pressure, but as stated, this control is limited to the direct area around Lily, generally within a twenty-foot radius (in other words, for a person with 20/20 vision, his abilities are limited to what he can clearly see and direct his focus towards). He must also be in an environment with air; while he can create air currents, he cannot create the air itself, and so his powers will not work in a vacuum.
