- Eli is a bright kid who holds little for granted. He was born in a rather difficult time for his parents. His mother is completely unknown to him nor does his father or any of his father's close associate have ever spoken about her as if she never existed. As for Eli's father, well Jasper Maddox's life is a bit mysterious too. He works for the government or so people say, but he's always traveling around doing some secret mission like he's a spy or an assassin. Of course it's difficult for a single man with such a job to raise a child and instead of retiring, Eli was put into the care of his father's close friend, Jennifer Evans and her husband Michael S. Wood. Eli called them his aunt and uncle and in almost every weekend and holiday his father would visit too.
Though Eli would have preferred to spend more time with his father, he was happy with the time he could and also tried his best to never be a burden to his loving caretakers. He also lived a perfectly normal life up to high school when he suddenly started to develop his strange ability out if no where, nearly ruining his prom and frightening away his girlfriend. At that point he learned from his caretakers and his father what it is that he does and how he received his power from his father. After the shock and learning such surprising information, Eli kept it a secret from the world. But with his continuing struggle to control his newly discovered abilities, his care takers suggested to transfer him in UV and soon did so even with his father opposing the idea. With a year of college under his belt, and scared from embarrassment thanks to his powers, hopefully he'll learn to manage them and figure out a clearer future.

- PRIMARY POWER:Eli gained the same power as his father which is being able to manipulate/mutate his cells and regenerate. It sound glorious and great but it's a power that backfires more than it's worth. Not knowing how to control it at all, his mutating or regenerating ability tends to cluster in concentrated areas creating strange and oversized growths along with horrifying additional limbs sprouting out. Perfected he would be able to use his ability to manipulate his cells and create limb replicas of other creatures and using their abilities for his own. As for the regenerative part, it's more along the lines of being able to replace damaged parts with replicas and removing the damaged part. For example if he where to break a bone in his leg he could simply regenerate a new leg and lose his original so not to deal with the slow healing process. To do so his body would prepare a new one while his original would start to breakdown and decay till it's weak enough to pull off or fall off on it's own. Then the new limb comes out to replace the one before. It's not a painless process but much more efficient then having to wait several months for a fracture to heal. Of course this is only accomplished with full control of his ability along with a tremendous amount of energy which Eli is capable of neither. And ever since he's gained this ability his body mass decreased along with an incredible increase in appetite to keep up with the energy his power requires to use. That's not the only downfall, as with each time his body replicates a set of dna, the copy become more and more distorted, like making a copy of a picture to then make a copy of the copy and so forth till it's a muddled mess. They say this it's because of this that Eli's father looks slightly different with each visit though the side-effect is unknown to both.
