And sometimes I wonder if we're all real Jade was standing in an alleyway, her back up against the wall and headphones in her ears, she had the young man named Zeph meet her here. She was going to teach him parkour, she wasn't sure why but the young man seemed very interested in it, and hey, she was willing to help anyone who wanted it. So she figured out a route for him that wasn't to hard and pretty good for beginners, and if he fell he shouldn't get to hurt since they where mostly hopping fences, and stuff which was a good way to start. She listened to the music coming through her ears, but due to her budget it wasn't actually an mp3 player but a CD player, and the only CD she owned was playing. To be honest, at this point she was totally sick of it, but it was always better then listening to the loud sirens of the city, which always gave her a large headache. She looked over at the entrance to the allyway, hoping he'd show up soon. She'd never been this anxious to start doing parkour. Maybe it was just exciting doing it with a new person? Whatever was making her this way, she knew would be fix when he finally got there. ZEPHYR FEAR

listen to the color of your dream. Most people in the city traveled in widely accepted, if not encouraged, manners of transportation from one place to the other: standing in the subway, sitting in a taxi, riding a bike, or walking - or perhaps jogging if they were in a rush - all included. This said, it wasn't difficult to hide in plain sight, if that was what you aimed for in your everyday life. The sheer number of people walking around in some areas was desensitizing. Despite the variety of unique individuals, they all became faceless figures in a crowd. Zeph had always managed to stick out one way or another. The two neon orange wires of his earbuds squiggled out from his pocket, sending Glitch Mob beats pulsating through his ear canal. And, of course, one such as Zeph does not simply listen to music! Dancing was a necessity. No question about it. Grooving his way down the street to music only he could hear, Zeph felt connected to the world, despite appearing to be in a world of his own. The city was filled with machines bouncing information off of each other at speeds faster than his brain could keep up with. They were like the veins and arteries of the city, and the data the blood. In Zeph's mind, feeling the city's beating heart was just about as connected as someone could get. Still, he wanted to feel more and reach places he had never been before. That's where Jade came in. She was going to teach him another unconventional way to traverse the city (albeit probably much more practical than dancing). When he got near the alley where they were supposed to meet, he could see the CD player in her pocket. Well, he didn't see it with his eyes, but there wasn't exactly a word in the English language which could describe his awareness of technology. switching his output of his earbuds for a moment to figure out what she was listening to, Zeph promptly decided that his music was better. So instead, he changed the output of her music to what he was listening to. Because honestly, if Jade didn't know he had powers by now, she was really going to the wrong university. "People should really have their own theme songs t' play when they go anywhere," Zeph said with a grin as he danced his way over to her, now the only other person who could hear his music, "Then you'd have some idea of the person before they even open their mouth and have something t' dance to wherever ya' go. Win-win, yeh?"@jade |
