Nobody ever told her it was the wrong way Vivian had NOTHING to do today. All caught up on homework, and she never really had any other hobbies then people watching. She had a book with her as she sat on a bench and was reading out in central park, why? Well, why not? She had texted Heiko and asked him to com join her in hopes that maybe he'd find something interesting. She got a few stares, she was sure were due to her bright green hair that was a little out of place, but she liked her hair the color it was and no amount of strange looks would get her to change it. Not that it even mattered to someone like her, honestly the psychology was more what she was interested in. Why did people find her hair so strange? She wasn't sure, just cause someone wanted to dye their hair something strange did it really matter all the much? Vivian often asked herself questions like those, curiosity was a safe feeling, If someone was curious they wouldn't be hurt, just think more and hey, maybe learn something. So she often decided she'd be curious. Instead of being hurt she'd question why, and focus on that. And that's the main way Vivian has found getting past the horrible idea that she could ever have normal feelings like a person. Fighting her fingers she tried once again not to get annoyed or pissed off. This is why she needed Heiko around. Checking her phone she hoped that he'd get there soon, and maybe they could go walk around or something. She wasn't sure what the plans where, but they'd get done without any emotional outbursts. @ninjaofcheese

It was just another one of those usual Sundays. Heiko sat with both his legs up on his desk leaning back in his chair pushing the limits the laws of physics would allow him with out falling over. He has his face buried in to a large computer networking book since he did not receive any invitations to go out yet. A lot of the books content he was already well familiar with but it wasn't going to hurt him to go over it again and what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than perusing your passion. However the actual ability of reviewing old content and its correlation to harm would be pushed when the young man's cell phone chimed. The small touchscreen telecommunications device was just out of his reach. Naturally Heiko leaned just a bit further on the back legs of the chair he was already pushing to limits of. Using the tips of his fingers he desperately slid the device closer to the palm of his hand so he could get a grip and see what the message was about."Annnd got yo- OH SHIT!"The laws of physics had enough of Hieko's games and the chair feel straight back on the floor the book slipping out of his hands and hitting him in the face with a muffled thud from carpet. To bad he would never learn from this mistake or any of the previous mistakes involving this chair. Groaning a bit he picked up the book from his face and placed it on the ground next to him and bringing the successfully acquired cellular device up to his face. Pressing the button on the side the display illuminated and prompted him with a number password to which he quickly entered. Navigating the menus Hieko brought him self to the list of received text messages. Vivian's conversation was darkened letting him know he had a message from her. Below her name was a slight preview of the message. Tapping the screen it brought him to their text message conversation and he continued reading the message where he left off in the preview. She wanted to have him come to Central Park with her.
Vivan was Heiko's childhood friend and the two were basically inseparable. In fact Heiko was fairly certain that if they dorms were not split by gender she would of been his roommate. He pretty much was the only one who was able keep her under control when she'd lose it. Not to mention he wouldn't let anyone get close to her for the fear of having her lose it again. He'd casually joke now and again that trying to hack a multi-encrypted network would be easier than learning how to calm her down.
Letting his rear end fall to the back of the chair Heiko moved his body back off the chair and back up to his feet. Picking up the chair, sliding it in to the desk, then doing the same with the book except placing it center on the desk he grabbed his hat and put it on. He wasn't going to turn down spending time with Vivian. As much as he was unaware of it he was just as dependent on her as she was on him.
Making his way to Central Park he started following the main path looking for his childhood friend. It wasn't like she'd be hard to find, in fact she was quite easy to find. All he had to look was for the bright green hair, which he noticed was sitting on a bench. Heiko approached from the rear and vaulted over the bench and took a seat with a swift motion. She had her head buried in to a book, psychology no doubt."Buried in to a book again." He said with a warm smile on his face looking over at his green haired friend."Whatca on this time?"

Nobody ever told her it was the wrong way Vivian's eyes went line by line over the information. She was studying, letting the information come to her. Sure, a lot of it was stuff she already knew but it was always super interesting to her, Vivian sighed though it was hard for her to work on focusing on this when she was waiting for Heiko. She really just wanted to move today, and honestly the fact that she was anxious to get moving was a bad thing, she didn't want to accidentally force it into others. Then again, there are worse emotions to give a person. Turning to a page about anxiety on the book, she read some more on it instead of feeling it, having Heiko's voice come on made her feel better. Looking up. " Ah, just some anxiety and reactions to it." She commented, closing the book. She stood up and looked at him. " Let's go.. I dunno.. do something?" She almost asked. If he'd rather sit there that was fine to, still Vivian hated days like this where she couldn't focus on anything but wanting to do something and reading. It was almost worse then days that she would have a break down. Still, she was a lot more calm with Heiko then. Not that she needed him or anything, he was just a tool sometimes. Having something familiar made it easier for her to stay calm in her surroundings. @ninjaofcheese

"Ah, just some anxiety and reactions to it. Heiko had nailed it pretty much square on the head what she was up to. Although, the topic was quite curious. Anxiety. She, above anyone else he knew, had more than a first hand knowledge in that particular subject. Given her emotional instability and all. Still, experiencing it and knowing it were pretty much always two different things. The first dozen times Heiko had to deal with Vivian's emotional instability was like playing Russian Roulette. It still was, he just happened to know where each bullet was and exactly how to spin the cylinder. Now that he was here she decided to close the book on her studies and get to hear feet. She stood in her raised position and looked over at the young man who just occupied the seat.
"Let's go.. I dunno.. do something?" If Heiko had a dollar every time he had heard that phrase he'd probably have enough to play in investments and pay off his tuition completely. It was probably one of her days where nothing was really keeping her attention at all and for her that was a very volatile combination. Heiko would normally sleep on days he felt like that, but Vivian was a different type of lass.
"Alright," he said shoving both his hands in to his pockets as he stood up. "Let's go find something." If there was never a broad enough statement ever said by a man. He pondered on something to do. Central Park was easily large enough that they could wander around for hours on end. Although they've done that time and time again so that option was only so good. Still he wasn't going to be caught not having an idea. So he started walking, following a random path while he pondered for an idea.
"So, anything new to share?" He asked making small talk as he debated on potentially getting something to eat on this particularly lazy Sunday. Heiko had next to no clue on psychology, sociology, and all those other fun mentally related studies but getting Vivian to talk about things generally was a good sign. He could comprehend things sure, didn't mean he always remembered them with out a little nudge. She probably explained the whole anxiety thing to him a few times now. She usually had something new to add though.

Nobody ever told her it was the wrong way Glad he agreed on leaving. She walked along side him, both of them side by side. This was how a typical day between the two would go. Looking at the sky she wondered if there was anything interesting to actually talk about. To be honest she wasn't ever much of a talker but Heiko had heard her voice more then anyone. To be honest things had been so normal and average lately there wasn't really anything for her to talk about. She shrugged " Nothing really to be honest, things have been very average lately." She commented, and that was that. Er, well maybe she should be at least a little kind to him. " And you?" She asked, at least his voice would be a distraction. Something to listen to other then the annoying honking of cards and the hustle and bustle of the city. To be honest Vivian wasn't a city person at all, but hey. This is what she was stuck with. Stretching a bit, she walked with her arms behind her head, for whatever reason that was most comfortable to her. Whatever they'd find to do today hopefully it was soon. She couldn't do to much excitement, but none at all almost made her down and that could be worse at times. @ninjaofcheese

"Nothing really to be honest, things have been very average lately." She had them on that. Things have been entirely normal lately. No crazy things to get involved in, well for Heiko to get involved in. After all he was the whole vigilante type. Honestly things were kind of boring with out the occasionally need to use their powers, well for Heiko anyway. He enjoyed using his powers from time to time. Vivian didn't really share the same enthusiasm he did.
"And you?" She asked. Now this was surprising. It was really rare that she actually asked back what he had been up to lately. Normally it was just one sided conversation drifting until she felt like commenting. But it was like she had said. Things were surprisingly normal. "Eh... Things have been... Normal. Strange as that is to say. Haven't had to really use my powers out side the school too much. Been mostly messing around with computer networks but I really don't want to bore you with that." That was Heiko's answer. Since he had started going to school with other people who had powers he found him self using them less and less. Mostly because the schools ideals and the fact that he was surrounded by others who had them. He didn't want to be known for that what so ever. Hell he didn't want to be known for much aside from just being a person. Him and his powers are the only thing he was used to keeping locked up in a chest for the most part.
He brought his hand out of his pocket and held it up right about chest level and stared at it for a moment. His eyes quickly glanced around, central park typically was teeming with activity on Sunday which made his urge to manipulate a little bit of shadows feel oppressed. He could do it later in his room. Is what he told him self at least. Sliding his hand back in to his pocket he took out his right hand and adjusted his hat a bit. "Have you had anything to eat today?" He asked trying to keep the conversation going. He had a place in mind, a place that they actually haven't been to in a while.

Nobody ever told her it was the wrong way Vivian listened to him speak. He really did like computers and stuff, it just wasn't her thing. She liked books, mostly ones that where informative rather then for a good story. She didn't mind video games though, as long as they didn't get her to excited but sometimes they where a good way to let out her feelings before they got to out of hand. Still, she didn't mind listening to him talk about it. People talking about thing they liked was always nice. They where happy at least, but Heiko decided he didn't want to, which was just as fine with Vivian. She thought about it, she wasn't particularly hungry, but why not? " I could eat" she stated, completely indifferent to the whole matter. But it was something to do. " In the mood for something in particular?" She commented. " Or just the first place we see?" She asked, honestly the second sounded more interesting to say the least. " If we do the second we could play a game and order for each other and see what we have to eat?" She questioned, hoping to just bring some excitement into the day. @ninjaofcheese

Vivian sounded indifferent when she answered to his question. Granted it was her normal tone of voice but over the years Heiko learned to pick a lot of the smaller details with Vivian."In the mood for something in particular?" She asked as they started making their way towards the southern end of the park. Heiko did have a place in mind but with how passive Vivian was on average he decided to withhold the fact that he had an idea already in place. So he just replied with a modest dismissive shrug. The second option Vivian presented was far more interesting."Or just the first place we see?" Heiko thought about it for a moment. It could be a lot of fun just to eat at the first reasonably priced restaurant they found. After all it was Manhattan after all. Sampling every meal at every restaurant, big or small, would take literal days. And a lot of money, which Heiko didn't have a whole lot on hand, at least what he allowed him self to spend anyway.
"If we do the second we could play a game and order for each other and see what we have to eat?" A game? Now that was more like it. Granted it wasn't really what one would call a game but it would prove to be far more interesting than ordering for one's self. Could be equally as disastrous but that was the whole fun in it.
Cracking a half smile across his lips Heiko answered back "Sure, lets do that." He disregarded going to that one restaurant for now. "How do you want to go about doing it? Jump on a bus or a subway and see where it takes us. Or should it be somewhere near here so we can come and eat here in the park?" They had the day off so they could afford the time no problem but he was comfortable with either option really.

Nobody ever told her it was the wrong way Satisfied with the answer, she began looking but he proposed another thing. Man riding the subway to a random area made the game sound a lot more interesting. " Let's go ahead and get on the subway" She commented, changing over to the subway. Wherever they ended up " Lets just go ahead and get off on... the fourth stop?" She questioned. Honestly, Vivian hated the subway but for a game like this how could she pass it up? Walking to the subway, she didn't mind changing the number, but to be honest it didn't really matter to her whatever he felt like doing. She already knew very well what she was going to order no matter where it was from. Hopefully they had it at least, if they didn't she'd just have to figure out what he wouldn't like. The thought almost put a smile on her face. But instead she just kept her face straight and didn't let it crack. If she let herself even smile she'd probably fail on her emotions for the day. After going through the usual stuff you needed to do get on the subway, she was on it, next to him still thinking about all the possible things she could order to get a negative reaction from him. @ninjaofcheese

"Let's go ahead and get on the subway" Heiko wasn't sure he heard that right and quickly turned his head in near shock towards Vivian. He knew his hearing didn't need to be questioned, even the noise of the city wasn't drowning it out that much, but she did just suggest the subway. She hated the subway system with passion. "Lets just go ahead and get off on... the fourth stop?" Keeping a confused eyebrow raise present Heiko gave the idea some though as he went through a mental list of the train routes and what was near by. He only about about a metaphorical two feet with that thought, so the idea was fair enough. Returning his contorted face back to its normal natural position he started steering towards the exit of the park. There were more than enough subway entrances around here so it wouldn't take them long from any exit.
"Sure let's go with that." Heiko smiled with his agreement to the rules of the game. However, he wanted to add one rule to it, even though he was pretty sure it was going to happen that way anyway. "We gotta order at separate times though. No sense in doing it with out the surprise right?" The hectic sounds of the city became clear as the two made their way to the exit of the park. Turning right and being mindful of how close he was to the street. He hated the city drivers. Honestly wasn't a inner city fan at all. He could deal with the suburbs just fine. City's not so much but he could get by, much as he didn't like it.

Nobody ever told her it was the wrong way Heiko added rules and she rolled her eyes " Well, of course, I thought that was implied." She commented, still attempting to think of every food that Heiko has ever hated. Only two really came to mind though, tuna and salmon. They HAD to have something like that didn't they? She'd have to start paying more attention to these things. Sure, she knew a lot about Heiko but not everything, and well.. maybe she should start focusing on him more. Trying to ignore the fact that she felt a little bad for not learning more about him, she watched the different people in the subway. She rarely saw anyone looking happy on the small underground train, and honestly that was something she could understand. It was crowded and smelled bad, like sweat and broken dreams. At least she had something interesting about her, rather then people stuck in cubicles all day. @ninjaofcheese

"Well, of course, I thought that was implied."
Rolling his eyes and holding both his hands up in defense Heiko said: "Hey just gotta say the loop hole. Can't have cheating going on." His eyes narrowed towards her with a all in good fun expression on his face while his hands lowered and ventured back in to his pockets. He gave the idea some thought for a moment. He really had the liberty to get just about anything. Vivian had no preference what so ever. It wasn't that she was that open minded she literally did not care but that is how she was. At least that is how she was now. This distant aloof attitude wasn't exactly how she always was. She used to be an entirely emotional girl and along with her powers she was very unstable. He almost wished that she was back to the way she was before. At least she was happy every now and again but that came at a constant price sometimes.
His mind quickly snapped back to their little game. He'd probably just pick a random number and roll with that. Guiding their walk to the to the staircase he led his fellow junior and friend up to the edge and waited for the train. He kept a close eye out on the girl next to him as they waited for the train. He was pretty much the only person who knew how to calm her down so he had to be vigilant at all times.

Nobody ever told her it was the wrong way Vivian was lost in thought as they stood and waited for the train, looking over to the side at all the people. There was a mother fighting with her daughter that wanted to go watch the near by saxophone player, but her mother was dragging her along for the train and the girl was crying her eyes out. Children where strange, they where all emotion driven. Something Vivian would love to be, but she just couldn't. Looking back to all the people, she moved closer to Heiko, and quickly slipped her arm through his. It wsa instinctive. She didn't want to get lost from him was all, that'd just cause problems. Sure, she could probably call him and find him again, but she didn't want to end up having to ride the train alone. And that was when the train had come for the two of them, and she stepped onto it, dragging him with her clinging to his arm tightly, making sure not to use her best friend for years. @ninjaofcheese

There was almost always something interesting to see in the New York City subway system. Some times it would be like today where a man would be playing something like a saxophone. Other times it would be a full ensemble. Naturally there was the parent and reluctant child combination. The smooth jazz like sounds that emanated from the saxophone had bewildered the small girl and she went over to investigate. Her mother however was like just about everyone in the city living in the "New York Minute." sort of mentality. The mother's curious daughter did not take to this intrusion of her curiosity lightly as she resorted in to bawling her eyes out. The saxophone player continued on untroubled by the child's out burst eventually being drowned out by the sound of the subway train. Among the slowly increasing crowd and noise a small hand and eventually an arm. slipped between his body and his arm. The slim hand took a firm hold of his arm. Vivian wasn't going to let go and Heiko did not have any issue at all.
When the doors to the train opened and people started moving in the mass chaos that the public transportation was in New York, Vivian dragged Heiko through the crowd of people and in to the subway car. Successfully bringing both of them inside the pair were forced to stand among the mass packed crowd of people and there were some who could certainly use the concept of personal space and a shower. Grasping on to a rail above them to keep them supported when the train would eventually come to an abrupt spot he could feel Vivian's grip get tighter around his arm. While his face remained collected and observant as his more guardian like nature took over somewhere deep down far beyond the reaches of his normal scope of conscious emotion he was enjoying the grasp of his childhood friend. Could it be called love, more than certainly depending on how someone worded its definition. Heiko never noticed Vivian in an romantic way yet he enjoyed her presence much like lovers would, such a result of the two's time growing up in an age of scrutinized heroes. And the fear of losing her was near unbearable but, this feeling of dependency was locked deep away in the depths of his heart to the point Heiko was not even remotely aware of it. After all, what reasons did he have for giving life to that fear.
The first two stops did not yield much changed in to the population density of the train car the two occupied, but come stop three many stepped off. "One more left." He told Vivian. He wasn't sure if she was even aware what was going on. She hated the train with a passion to begin with but she had a thing for just observing. So god knew how much she had been paying attention lately.

Nobody ever told her it was the wrong way They where forced to stand, which was alright with Vivian she didn't mind. As he grabbed the rail, she knew that he wouldn't let her fall. Her arm clenching to his tighter, she wondered how long the boy would enjoy hanging out with an emotionless freak like her. She was sure that he wouldn't last as long as it has. And yet, here he was letting her cling to his arm. She placed her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes just thinking for awhile. There was something calming about Heiko, and she didn't know what it was. It could be just because he was familiar, and that he was something she could rely on. Sure she'd hurt him, sent sadness to him on accident, when they where little she knew she hurt him often. Why he stuck around she wouldn't have a clue. His voice interrupted her own thoughts, which was good, she didn't need to start getting emotional. She opened her eyes and looked around, noticing quite a few people had gotten off. Her arm still in his, she relaxed a little though. " Alright." She replied, looking around. She felt the train move again and she watched this time. She watched the man text away on his phone, and smile each time he got a reply. She wondered what could be making him so happy in just a bunch of words? She'd known that feeling once but at this point.. it all just seemed so ridiculous. The train stopped, and she looked up at Heiko, and dragged him out with her. " Now, let's see what we can find." @ninjaofcheese
