"I suppose I feel I should be set to some higher standard, I mean I am a hero, seems a little counter intuitive to make weapons while getting them off the street." She did offer a very valid point. Everyone had a different mentality to how the world worked, he guessed this was hers. He couldn't help but smirk, he was a little strung up, but it was better to be cautious than to be dead. "Its not the 99% you worry about, its the 1% that can destroy you and feel nothing, there's so much we don't know, its intriguing but at the same time, I can't help but be frightened of what is to come." Somewhere deep down inside, Konrad was scared, for all his tough talk and hard exterior there was this constant fear that his lack of powers would be the end of him. "There is just some things that I find to be particularly dangerous. Do not take offense to that." His voice was sincere, he simply didn't trust anyone with certain knowledge, even if they weren't looking for it. Putting in some final adjustments he began to close up the gauntlet fixing bolts back into place and lubricating the ligaments. "There, I'm done, if you ever require resources to upgrade your glove or fix it, I can provide you with those." He was done his task and she was done his, if she wanted to leave it would be fine with him, but he wouldn't mind some company either. ((ooc: you can continue or finish it.)) @etoile2 |

"yeah, but when you're makin' 'em for US army use, you're hardly goin' down to the corner and passin' them out to anyone who wants 'em. but hey, good luck with those higher standards. just be careful you don't get all burned out." she didn't mention her opinion that his stance was one of outrageous hypocrisy, because that was probably a little on the nose. best just to feign concern for his wellbeing.
"that's a real hopeful vision of the future, engie. arthur c clarke stuff. rodenberry, even. the one percent killin' us all." rosie shot him a teasing little smile, hopefully one that concealed her opinion that his opinion was a little stupid. "more well-trained justice juniors runnin' around than people lookin' to destroy the world, i'm pretty sure. and even then, look at the ones who do go bad. you ever see one of the news reports about the big bad wolf?"
luuk was her friend, but taking over an island populated by military-grade dog catchers wasn't one of his smartest ideas. bless.
"hey, that's fine, i get it..." she came forward, putting the engineer's helmet into his hands and picking up her gauntlet. "thanks a whole bunch, darlin'. real helpful of you, 'ppreciate it. see ya soon." and, sashaying out of the room, her parting gesture was to blow a kiss back in his direction.
well, that had gone well.
