Eli flips through his little notepad with measurements and budgets scribbled down. His eyes look between this book and the box labels before him on the large metal shelves. Eli's worried for picking up the wrong sized piece of furniture more than anything, because nothing is worse than buying something that just doesn't fit. Especially if the two will have to spend do much time assembling it, something the guy isn't too keen on doing. He'll likely screw in a wrong piece or skip a set or even a whole page. Many things can plague them and though it can be easy being do accomplish, knowing the fact that by being nervous will cause him to screw up which only makes him more nervous.
"This ones says it'll fit just fine? What do you think Daniel?"
Eli's head turns to his roommate while keeping a formal attitude in both posture and speech. Though the two are more familiar with themselves compared to say, the first week of school? Still it'd feel rude to him not to be so kind in his formality. However it always seemed to backfire with everyone's drive to push him into a more familiar position.
"Think it even comes in different colors which is a plus. Gives us some more choices between the same model."
His head tilts with anticipation as he secretly is eager to hear his roommate's response. He doesn't really want to impose that strong of an opinion as the boy could deal with a broken piece of furniture and the dull decor in his part of the room. But maybe having something nicer and newer could be good not just for his roommate but for Eli too. At least to make returning to his dorm a little less of a chore.

Danny had been looking forward to this first step of customizing the dorm he shared with Eli. The new piece of furniture was not an exciting prospect in itself, but the fact that he and Eli were finally engaging in roommate bonding activities had made him fairly happy. Roommate bonding activities...yeah that was one phrase that was better left unsaid. But really, it was a positive step forward and perhaps the new addition to the dorm might actually accomplish the impossible and bring some semblance of order to the chaos it usually was. It had been a while since Danny had last glimpsed the floor and he could swear that there was something that had evolved from the leftover pizza slices and various pieces of junk that littered the place.
Now Eli was calling his attention towards a new find. Perhaps something to finally end their search? Danny was apprehensive enough about the time assembling the thing would consume- he didn't want to waste any more shopping. He ran a critical eye over it. It was fine as far as he could see- really as long as it fit the budget and size restraints he didn't really mind. Aesthetics had never really bothered him too much. "It's good to go from my end." the blonde voiced his approval "As for the color; I'm fine with any really? I'm just worried how we're going to put it all together actually eheheh." he finished somewhat sheepishly.

"Hmmm"
Eli looks between the four color options for the furniture piece while contemplating on just how difficult the assembly will actually be. He's done it once before while helping on of this friends set up the family's baby room, but he had the help from four other people and mostly just left him with keeping charge of the crib's manual. Now it's just him and Daniel and from the looks of it neither have any previous experience. Though it shouldn't bee too difficult. They are set up to be made by anyone, and Danny is rather mechanically sound right? He's constantly dealing with all the tiny parts of the mechanically complicated limbs he has. So maybe there's hope for them still.
"I don't know, I think we'll fine on this. They do make it fool proof you know, otherwise everyone wouldn't have Ikea right?"
He explains while trying to convince himself. It seemed like logical thinking to him. And how hard would it be to construct something that only has four sides with it's only function being that it stored supplies or help things up. It's not like they where constructing a house or reanimating the dead. Yeah. No reason to over think it, it's an easy task.
"Well I think we should go for the black one, that way if we leave any stains on it we won't be able to see it later. How about it?"
