EIGHTEEN 5'10/133 lbs | MALE STUDENT - FRESHMAN |
[attr="class","appinfo"]
[attr="class","appbold"]PERSONALITY:
- Mischievous: William's defining trait. Look at Will's face and what do you see? A smug crap eatin' smile and a couple of eyes that scream ne'er do well. No doubt, Will is always scheming and getting up to no good. Of course to him the pranks and tricks he concocts are just for fun and chuckles (for him anyway). He does not intend to display any maliciousness in his actions; if you take offense to his silliness that's on you (Then again he is more likely not to trick you if he likes you so take that as you will). Point is he likes trouble, he likes making it and getting into it. Not much of a fan of what comes after the trouble though.
Eccentric: Strike up a conversation with Will now. Go on, don't be shy. Don't worry about me I'll wait... ... ... ...You're just going to stare at your screen aren't you. Well that's alright I'll spare you the trouble: Will is an odd little dandelion. He has the "gift" of motor mouth and though he tries to fight it he will often slip back into that terrible habit if he suddenly becomes excited (which is a rather easy to trigger occurrence). Not only that but William doesn't really have what one would call a "filter". He tends to spit his raw thoughts out without thinking about how his words may affect others. Oh look, a transition!
Apathetic: Will does not give a flying crap about what you think and/or care about. You don't like him? That's your deal. Did he hurt your precious feelings? Oh well! Collateral damage, what's that!? He does not care about your emotions, dreams, or how his actions/words affect either of those. It extends beyond that sort of thing though, to the point that William only seems to care about keeping himself entertained (almost). Even at the risk of his own safety.
Laid back: Well sure William doesn't sound that great of a guy right now but um at least he's...mellow? Yeah I mean, due to the fact that he cares about very little, it takes quite a bit of effort to get under his skin. It's difficult to annoy the annoying, yes? He has a stiff upper lip, so to speak. Not sensitive at all (in either definition). Besides that he is relaxed about deadlines or work and the like, often procrastinating to the last minute with varying results. He doesn't mind his modest grades, nor does he mind losing in any sort of contest. He doesn't get worked up over things getting broken or stolen, he just focuses on having some fun. The only way to really get him "panicked" is to put him under an immense amount of pressure; the life or death sort. And heeeere's why!
Thinker: William is what one may call a "Careful" "Thinker". He can think up fine plans and solutions for many problems but only if he has a good amount of time to process his thoughts. This meaning, he does not work well under pressure. Not a very good trait for someone attending a school for heroes (then again he doesn't care much for that profession but that's a different story). Sure he can adjust minor details like something going slightly wrong in one of his silly plots but he simply freaks out when confronted with intense situations that require him to quickly formulate complex plans of action. That is not to say that he is not a fan of intense situations in general. He considers himself a rather potent thrill seeker because he needs entertainment, but the idea of having multitudes of lives put into his hands keeps him up at night (on occasion).
Optimistic: Such dreary thoughts are useless though, Will likes to push those aside and think positive! Nothing like a chipper mood to help push back the darkening world around you! Will believes that everything has a bright side, and he intends to keep his eyes pointed toward said bright side because the other side makes him...think...things. Yep, always the cheerful one Mr. William is (unless panicked but again, small percentage of that happening). I mean come on, why stay sad about something when there is so much to be happy about!? Of course this cheerful mood of his often mixes with his nonchalance and results in an amplification of how sickeningly annoying he is, but don't worry you'll barely notice that...
Anti-Authoritative: And we come back to how much of a douche he is. William just wants to have fun; he wants to entertain himself in his own special way and is not at all happy when said way is tampered with by...the system! Oh how he hates the concept of following rules and taking orders; is it so wrong that he wants to do things his own way at his own pace? Life would be so much easier if he could just do whatever he wanted without interference from "the man" and...am I going all over the place? I feel like I'm going all over the place here. This seems more like a quirk than a defining personality trait, I should just make a separate thing for this stuff and wrap up.
Random Personality Quirks: Dislikes the concept of authority, running fanatic (aspires for the track team), has a variety of rounded stones that he rolls in his dominant hand (right) while he thinks, leans against the closet door and punches those who try to open it, currently doesn't take his education seriously (not like he's paying for it).

[attr="class","appbold"]HISTORY:
- William does not belong here. He is the second child to the couple of Johnathon and Lilith Jacobs; normal middle class patriots by day, masked small-time anti-government super villains by night. These two ne'er-do-wells relished in the destructive variation of anarchy, and are probably some of the only villains who enjoy juggling evil with a normal blue-collar life. They got their kicks from the high amount of potential danger in their lives, and actually tried to enhance their chaotic high by having a child. Seven years later they had another to up the ante (That would be William). Now as you might imagine, this is not at all a healthy environment to raise children in. Especially when the two were very open about their villainy to their offspring and did all they could to groom them for their own lives of terrorist fun at their parent's side. Eventually though, William's older brother Micheal would display a rather non-villainous trait: empathy. At eighteen he decided he had no wish to become a super-villain nor did he wish to do battle with his crazed (albeit loving) parents. So he took the eleven year old William to save him from the same fate he was avoiding and fled.
After coming up with the fake surname of Conroy, Micheal and his brother would travel westward to their rarely seen uncle who lived a state over. Micheal had a good deal of trouble trying to take care of young William, who constantly acted out and caused a good deal of trouble for the both of them. Mostly due to wanting to be with his parents (who Micheal insisted were dead). Of course they eventually learned the importance of togetherness and other crap life lessons before finally reaching their uncle. He was reluctant to take them in as he wasn't what one would call a "family man", but he understood why Micheal ran so he let them stay with him for a week. Of course, that week stretched out into two weeks, then a month, and next thing they knew a year. Micheal was much happier living with their uncle, however William did not adjust as well and continued to act out (his budding powers only making things worse). He only got worse when Micheal moved out on his own, leaving Will to be solely raised by his uncle. Now his uncle was much more firm than William's brother and wished to condition Will's behavior with the tried and true punishment/reward system. Unfortunately, the punishments outweighed the rewards so Will would end up resenting his uncle. Things got worse when his parents died for real in an explosive accident, their only attack that made the national news...for a day. This destroyed Micheal's ruse and made William very angry. To avoid disaster, Will's uncle decided force Will to be inducted into Vireximus University in hopes of finally straightening him out. William does not appreciate this action but wasn't quite ready to be kicked out onto the street so for now he plays along and bides his time.

[attr="class","appbold"]POWERS:
- PRIMARY POWER:Light Manipulation: Just like his father and brother, William has the power of Photokinesis (or y'know, light manipulation). He is currently inexperienced and currently only has one way to use his power. Whenever light is available to him, William can control the light particles around him to form a ball of pure light to manipulate at will. Concentrating light in a single form allows Will to have better control of his skill, as any other attempts at light manipulation end rather...badly. By compressing light into golf ball to basketball sized orbs, William can do the following: Concentrate on the ball to make it float and move to his will, intensify the light within and shoot it out in the form of lasers (The ball shrinks with every laser shot, to put it in perspective a golf ball sized orb would disperse immediately. The power of the laser is moderate, causing a mean sting on contact and leaving a first degree burn behind.), make the ball burst and create a bright flash, carry the ball around to provide a light source, intensify the light within the ball and use it to burn others via skin contact, do the same thing but disperse the ball into four swirling forms and shoot them toward a target, and create disco balls. I suppose that is an important point, whenever William manipulates the light it tends to writhe in a ghastly mass of gleaming colors. It would probably give those looking at it motion sickness but William has gotten used to it. He can currently control two orbs at a time.
- SECONDARY POWER: Image Projection: Will can bend the light in an environment to make shimmering images for his own use. With little effort William can create fake objects of varying colors, shapes, and sizes whether it be purposeful or for giggles. Naturally he can only create around five to six objects at a time because-hell he just can't concentrate enough to make more. Of course the further he stretches his mind to create more objects the less detail those objects will have. They wont be as creative or complex as a projection he is dumping all his creative juices into. Such an image would include that of a human, William can create authentic human projections and if he concentrates hard enough upon said projection he can make it move. Of course it is not an actual tangible being and thus can do very little besides cause distractions. All projections can be dispersed by a swift show of force (such as punching or swiping).
